THOUGHTS?

shpongle and infected mushroom... HEAVEN?

Seems to be same day as Two Tribes??

Wonder how the crowds are gonna be for this??

Really wanna see Future Prophecies!!

I have heard nothing but rave reviews about infected mushroom but there are 365 days a year- having 2 clashing events is not cool.:X :X . Id definately have to pass everthing else up to see Infected Mushroom.

^ mate if you go see Infected Mushroom, I guarantee you will not regret it.
Earthcore crowds are generally alot more chilled and friendlier than your Hard Trance crowds so there is another reason to go. Great scene, great people, great venue, but most of all great music.

Melbourne - Saturday 13th of March. (wow, just realized this is on the weekend, won't have to miss out on uni after all!)
Playing: Infected Mushroom- live (fuck yeah!)
Raja Ram
Shpongle Dj set - Raja Ram ambient set (hope he's as good as Posford was at EC 2005)
Future Prophecies - live
The Youngsters - live
More to be announced later

yes but there are only certain dates that these acts can come to perth to play, they aren't going to work their whole tour around Two Tribes. especially when it is a completely different style of music anyways!

infected should be fun..... altho they are fukn way up themselves. fullon trance superstars, having little kiddies hold their umbrellas for them in the rain and shit. not cool! i hope they go a little more oldschool with their set this time. their set at heat was a little too clubby for me, but it was in a club so i will let them get away with it :D i would kill for them to play a live version of bust a move!!!

raja is going to be the business tho, his set at earthcore 2004 was farken madness. his shpongle dj set should be the goods as well =D

looking forward to this.

also... for anyone who is interested in getting into psytrance and the perth doof scene, visit www.perthlings.com/ it is a local forum run by a couple of the main doof crews in perth. if there is a doof on in perth, this is where you are gonna find out about it!!

omg omg omg why the fuk would they do sum like this now i am going to have to miss burren to see mushrooms, ram and so on why the fuk can't they get it right!!!!!!! is it that hard!!!!

just wanna see times n shit .. then there may be the slight chance of being able 2 catch the best of both (doubtful) ... fingers cross :P

Hey guys and gals,

Announcement shortly on this .. it will not be an earthcore in the park event. But it will still be an Earthcore and OeP show (the two responsible for the Infected Mushroom gig same time last year and OeP who did the Hallucinogen / Dark Soho gig).

I can guarantee there won't be a clash of times as we are now doing a night event instead... and its pretty cheap (not $85).. the two acts appearing are:

Infected Mushroom (LIVE)
Future Prophecies (6 PIECE LIVE DnB)
+ Locals

THIS IS GOING TO BE KILLAH! Can't wait for infected again... Will be interesting to hear what they have on offer! :D

WHOOT FOR EARTHCORE IN THE PARK! If you really want to try something new, go to this. Two tribes is just too "Commercial" hehehe... ;)

INFECTED MUSHROOM (ISRAEL - PSY TRANCE - LIVE ACT)
http://infected.co.il/
Infected Mushroom is an Israeli psychedelic trance duo which has attained significant popularity from the late 1990s to the present time (2005).

Hailing from Central Israel, the group has retained the fanbase attracted by their earlier releases, 1999's The Gathering through a consistent sonic evolution exemplified by the subsequent albums Classical Mushroom (2000), BP Empire (2001) and Converting Vegetarians (2003). The recently released IM The Supervisor (2004) contains one of Erez and Duvdev's greatest hits Cities Of The Future.

They have also become very popular as well, and in November 2005 they debuted in the DJ Mags prestigious "Top 100 DJs" chart at number 26, which is a one of the highest entrances into the chart ever.

FUTURE PROPHECIES (NORWAY - DRUM & BASS - LIVE ACT)
http://www.futureprophecies.org/ - Click on the March '05 Movie for a Sample of what's to come!

Future Prophecies, aka Richard Animashaun Thomas & Tony Anthun are Drum&Bass artists from Norway. They perform as a DJ/live (Hybrid Session) act comprising of jazz musicians and DJs, culminating in a new sound breaking traditional musical barriers. Their extensive knowledge stems from relentless work as club DJs and jazz musicians throughout Norway, the rest of Europe and the States. Having had releases on Subtitles, Renegade Hardware, Breakbeat Kaos ,Moving Shadow, Certificate 18, Outbreak, Fabric Live 03 (DJ Hype), Boombox and Kickin, and remixes with Mari Boine/Universal and Jamelia/EMI, they are a force to be reckoned with. They also started their own label in the summer of 2004.

INDIJIKA (PERTH - TRIBAL - LIVE)

Indijika are a newly formed, Perth based, live dance music act producing a fusion of acoustic tribal rhythms, spacious electronic melodies and earthy beats embracing both our organic past and our digital future into the present moment to create a trance state.

About Indijika, Jesse Tree started playing guitar in his early teens and formed a band called Shadow Dancer and during that time discovered djembe and didgeridoo. Since then he has travelled extensively throughout the globe absorbing music and culture and performing at events such as the total solar eclipse in Zambia 2001 and Earthdance 2004 here in Perth. Alan Star's performance history goes back to being first switched on by the big outdoor party sounds while travelling in India in '95. Starting performance as a fire artist at the parties in Goa, he went on to travel, performing in Europe first, then America's, Asia and Australasia as part of The Flaming Butterflies. Infected by the trance vibe, Alan started mixing and editing music for the show, creating a trance firedance sound track, getting more and more into the mixing side of the music, started dj'ing and leading to the present day producing and doing the electronic sounds and computer sequencing side of Indijika. As well as performing, Alan has helped instigate and organise many of the outdoor Namaska parties here in Perth over the last few years.
