Hi everyone,

Just wondering if there is enough interest to warrant a Perth BL meet up somewhere other than an event.

I would love to have a chat about anything drugs or harm minimisation related. A quiet venue would be good so its easy to talk, maybe a house or a pub so long as it is not too noisy.

Anyone else interested at all?

Count me in, but as Zephyr and swifty may point out, reliability isn't my strong point. :)
Just let me know when and where and I'll do my damndest not to get messed up the night before. ;)

Just out of curiosity, your first name isn't Dave is it?
If so, I think I know you! :p

Nah, my real name is Steven.

I havnt given a date any thought yet. I just want to gauge if theres enough interest first.

I'm in, so long as there is crack and hookers =D

and yes xcidium's only reliability is that he's totally unreliable :p

I'm in but I need a bit of notice as I work 6 out of 7 days. Still if it's in a pretty central area I can easily fit it in and I'd love too.

I'll say I will come but there is a 95% chance I will pull out at the last minute and just not arrive.

If - on the 5% chance I do get there - it will be at least 1 hour late from the agreed upon time.

It is nothing personal. Such is the mystery of the dance.

Take note: the more times Xcidium says he will DEFINATELY go the less likely he is to turn up.

The Perth crew, as it was, was second to none. I hope it becomes that way once again.

Just dont bother trying to beat swifty at an arm wrestle.

Ok.

If Shnouzerpuff, Swifty and Someone else decides to go I could be convinced.

What sort of function are we considering =D

there must be booze
and preferrably food

You can tell im a man with priorities!

saturday nights are really the only time I can make it. and I need a little heads up to organise the bub, but other than that I'm pretty easy go.

Anyone wanna volunteer to have it at their place? :P

haha I breifly entertained that thought but since I am in an apartment I can't see it. Would have been good too, right next to a railway station.

Damn...

I guess its gonna have to be at some pub, preferably something quiet and non-busy so its easy to talk IMO. Any ideas?

Goodness Gracious!

I feel mighty flattered! My company is not nearly good enough to warrant such a bold statement.

But I am a sucker for flattery! So lets toss some ideas around for a central place to go that serve lots of beer.

Anywhere around the Joondalup or Freo area is probably out for me, since I don't fancy driving all that way to slowly sip on a midstrength half-pint over the course of an hour so I can drive home without the fear of drunkenly driving into the side of a boozebus.

If it somewhere central that serves pints and/or jugs of reasonably cheap and alcoholic beer I could definately be tempted.

Just don't expect me to be able to keep up in electronic-music talk. My two electronic music topics of conversation are very dated:

"Man... the Freestylers used to be cool but didn't they just sell the fuck out?!"

"You know my mate met Keith from The Prodigy at BarOpen?"

Any conversation that is electronic music related which delves more indepth than that will result in me doing my best "knowing ruse" where I nod and agree with almost whatever you are saying in the hopes that I will fool you into thinking that I have a basic understanding of the subject.

It is the same ruse I use when talking to mechanics, or when trapped at a BBQ discussing cricket with a friend-of-a-friend's sportsmad cousin.

;)

I would suggest something central and a venue where the music or atmosphere does not bother anyone. Preferrably a time that does not conflict with other plans.

Somewhere like the belgium beer cafe in the afternoon perhaps.
