Hey i am a 22 year old male that resides in the UK, i enjoy my raves and have been doing hard drugs for around 4 years or so, i have done many different types of drugs however the one which is causing me to worry is MDMA, around 70 days or so ago i went to Glastonbury where i consumed around 3 grams of pure MDMA, from a relatively credible source (ive sourced there b4 and had no problems), over the first few days i took 2 grams and on sunday i was feeling relatively good...which is probably why i went on a bit of a binge, i took the remaining gram, drank heavily, took a bit of Ket and helped polish a bottle of poppers.

On the Monday morning i felt awful, as did all my friends and my girlfriend also, this was expected as it had happened the previous year and several other times as well, and as expected this period of extreme depression did pass...however there is still a lingering feeling inside my head which can only be described as numbness its not particularlly painful however it is extremely irritating, along with the numbness has come anxeity and depression although the depression is relatively mild and extreme mood alteration, i get annoyed much more easily. My worry is that the rest of my group went back to normal, including my Gf which i am so thankful for, however i still have these symtoms.....i am currently taking St John's Wort which doesnt appear to be helping much.... the effects are alarming however i have been able to put together my master dissertation in economics over the past month and assuming i dont fail lol this shows that my abilites do not appear to hampered (although i do have problems thinking things through which has lead to low progress)

My question is open to any opinions and all ideas will be well recieved however the inputs i really want are for former users of MDMA or extacsy which have experienced similar experiences in the past. I have searched the internet looking at time periods of however long this could last....some said 3 weeks, thats pasted some 2 months that has also pasted....i have also come across personal experiences which say it might last 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 7 years!!...and god forbid permanent...can people please tell me they own experiences...should i expect this anxiety to go or should i just accept the way that it will around with me forever.

Now for a bit of my drug history.. i havent smoked weed for 3 years, coke i havent done for around 1 year or so and i have only done a grand total of around 3 G's, Ket i have only done in the last year about 5 times so im not attributing the effects to this...MDMA i have done many times...about a year ago i cut down loads...and i did experience mild anxiety which did go in time, however the anxeity was no where near as sever, over the last year ive done E around 5 times with a period of 4 month being clean b4 glastonbury...for this reason i know that it was the glastonbury experience that did this to me....

Thank you for reading....:D

If you do your bit it can be sorted quickly.(firm believer of supplements here)
If circumstances become bad it can take a long while. There's supposedly a link between ex-xtc(the one's that suffered depression due to mdma usage) users and depression as they become more predisposed to it. Then again the one's that did suffer depression were predisposed to it anyways, again supposedly...
Once sorted one tends to respect the drug a whole more and one learns not to abuse it again.
Vague response as there are many variables that come into it.

I may not be the opinion you're looking for since I still use ecstasy and dont really have the effects you're describing. I will say one thing though, 3 grams is alot of MDMA.

It seems to me you've done a decent job spreading out your ecstasy over time, but why do you need so much? Seriously 200mg should be plenty for a night. Any more than that and you're not going to get much higher, you're subjecting your brain to alot of a drug that can be neurotoxic.

I would guess you feel the way you do because you did alot of MDMA over a short period of time and didnt let your brain recover between uses. Binging like that is very taxing on your serotonin system and can leave you a mess for a long time aterwards. The good news is you will feel better in time, i would highly reccomend exercising on a daily basis and eathing healthy. 5-htp is a good suppliment to try to rebuild serotonin if St. Johns wort isnt working. Give it a few weeks of daily use and you might see an improvement.

First and foremost, as I'm sure you know, you'll want to abstain from Ecstasy and other recreational drugs(including alcohol) completely until you're feeling better. The only thing that's really going to sort you out is time, and yes, sometimes it can take longer than 2 months. By eating healthy, taking vitamins and/or supplements, getting a decent amount of exercise, having good sleeping habits, and living a generally healthy life you may be able to speed up your recovery. Best of luck.

I dont believe there would be any studies and as every single person and every single instance is different, well its pretty hard to know for sure just how long it might take.

Something to consider is that maybe its not solely the mdma but a combination of all or some of the stuff you used or maybe its in fact the result of just one which may of course be the mdma but may have been the poppers. Just something to keep in mind when trying to find answers.

I suggest that you totally abstain from anything that is not healthy and work hard at increasing your overall health via quality food intake, plenty of sleep and exercise etc.

It takes about a month for the brain to return to normal reserves of serotonin after a single moderate use of MDMA (by average we are talking reasonable rec dosages 120mg pills, maybe a few over the evening). You munched thousands of milligrams of MDMA so its no wonder your head is a bit fucked. Give it some time and healthy living, hopefully things will return to normal. Also mixing massive amounts of drugs together like you did is not always the best thing for the old ticker, you just need some time and healthfull living before you can decide whats going on.

Best of luck and keep your head up for now.

Im not sure why but the OP posted the thread with different names twice.

As such i have merged both threads and unnaproved one of the Opening posts to make it look a bit better.

if 200mg is a decent dose then what you took was fifteen hefty doses in one go of a drug which is known to alter the functioning of a neurotransmitter which moderates mood swings, temper, anxiety and produces feelings of mild wellbeing. you are getting the opposite...

its due to how much your overdid it-alter your diet now:eat lots of fish and nuts and veg and salad and start omega 3 and strong b vitamin complex, also do lots of excercise. you will get there but 3 grams is seriously retarded and so unecessary. i myself was fucked up by a speed addiction and did lots of e while constantly on speed which is pretty bad but i rebuilt myself-just remeber the brain is composed of fat so try to increase your fat intake and restrict the fat you have to unsaturated ones.

you will get there=D

That's an ungodly amount of MDMA in a very short time period, I'm not at all surprised that you're still feeling it a bit.

As others have said, time, abstinance and healthy living is probably the only real cure.

Try 5-HTP, it might help cause your serotonin system must be pretty shot, i've never tried it personally but some people around here swear by it

Is the numbness you mentioned right at the top of your head, in front of the crown?

I go too hard often and I find that if I drink plenty of water in the following days + Vit B and especially C + 5HTP My week isnt that bad.....but nothing beats abstinence

What I'm asking is, is it possible to just clear out all your Seratonin in a few pills? Hence making it almost pointless to continue dropping?

Yes. Any more than a few pills in a night is a waste of money.

Or does it regenerate quickly

It takes a few days to a week for the majority of your Serotonin to replenish. Affects from MDMA are dependent on more than that, though. That's why you can't roll every weekend and get the same effects indefinitely.

Ok well everyone has been me good advise about the good eating and taking it easy, for the last month i have been doing this and to be honest there isnt much change..is there anyone out there that can relate to what im experiencing by having similar symtoms and if so...how did it go for them? Any experience or idea of what may happen next would be appreciated...

Thank you

I start with about 400mg and then take 200mg every hour after that until I feel I am about to "top out". SOmetiems I'll end up taking an east 1.6grams or so before this happens, especially if it has been a few months since my last MDxx exposure.

As for long term effects, there have been none that I have ever personally noticed within my own body. However, I have seen DJs and such who have had prolonged and heavy MDxx exposure/abuse for a decade+ who can't hold a coherent conversation. We each have unique chemistry, and drugs are meant to be USED recreationally, not ABUSED recreationally.

Keep this in mind, know your body, know how things effect you, and for God's sake, take a break. You should be taking MDxx at a maximum of one high dosage per week to achieve anywhere close to optimal effects. I'd even recommend once a month, or, what I currently do, about once every quarter.

There was times when I was taking ecstacy on a nightly/bi-nightly basis for months on end, with no real negative effects besides slight depression/anxiety and an influx in my HPPD symptoms. Even those quickly evaporate after about 48 hours after the last exposure.

Happy rolls man, :)

I had like you used MDMA very occansionly and respectfully until two I months ago had 2g over two nights, I had little of electric shocks in my hands and feet for few days after than a week after I got an panic attack, I had'nt had that for 7 years. Then I have felt very anxious until last week or something, now I feel that I'm coming back to normal. I have used benzo to sleep aswell some nights. Anyway I think the brain recover. For me a good amount of sleep is the best

Please keep us appraised as to how you're doing. My friend actually had a similar experience recently (see http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=396410) and he has been suffering for 3 weeks so far. He is feeling so bad, he refuses to make any plans with friends until he starts feeling better. If you or anyone has any advice for him (or Fishklm) please let us all know! Everyone on this forum has been extremely helpful and supportive.

Thanks,
Atomy

Hey sry i havent responded for a bit..ive been on holiday...with regard to the original post, in all honesty there hasnt really been much change...i still have permanent numbness and i get aniexity for no reason....ive been reading up on people who have had similar experiences...but have taken 6 months to get better..for anyone who has gotten better can they tell me if it was a gradual thing or a rapid change towards the end...becuz in all honesty the last 2.5 months for me have shown very little change...if any.

Dude 3 grams of mdma...

Forget the suppliments and go to church and pray to god.
