A friend of mine was given some 2c-i about 3 days ago now. He took all the residue from a little tray so he doesn't know how much. Sense then he has been seeing people and creatures in the house who are not there. He says he has been like passing out out of no where. And a couple seconds later he wakes up. He is some what concerned about whats going on. anyone know how long this might last?

im not too experienced with research drugs, but have you looked up any cases with 2c-i and this happening? i'd say take him to a doctor at this point; its been 3 days, surely he's had to go to work and stuff, and he cant really drive anywhere if hes passing out unexpectedly. take him to the doctor, get him checked out, make sure he's alright.

has he slept at all in those 3 days apart from those passingouts?
sounds like a bit of psychosis to me with microsleeps. need more details though to say what could be the issue

well no offence but if your friend is stupid (and yes, it is on the level of RETARDATION)
enough to take an UNKNOWN dose of a potent chemical, he deserves anything he gets.

he needs to get a good nights rest somehow. Try to get him to take a couple benadryl and a couple drinks to help him pass out. Its probably a combination of slight psychosis combined with sleep deprivation which is causing his hallucinations.

It is not advised to take unkown amounts of research chemicals. But I've taken up to 45mg of 2ci at once and never saw people or creatures that werent there. I've never experienced that on any psychedelic even. Just some lasting visual distortions for a few days.

Maybe he has some underlying mental health issues?

I'd honestly put $5000 on HPPD. Phentheylamine visuals are more creature/face like/persian rug patterning. And 2c-i is hell on people who are prone to HPPD.

Speaking as an oldster (someone over thirty) in a forum that is probably populated by younger folks (most people get out of the "tripping stage" after college or early twenties, not all, most) but I would advise...STICK TO KNOWN HALLUCINOGENs. Substances like LSD and Psylocibin have years of documented use behind them and are known to be safe for the most part. These new research chemicals...who knows.

Do your BRAIN a favor and stick to the tried and true and safe

actually broskie the majority of members are in your age range :D
not me though, im not old as fuck like you :P

jus playin, granddad... =D

I'm highly dubious that this is HPPD. I've never heard of HPPD being associated with hallucinating creatures of persons....

Could you give some information on the experience itself? How long/intense was his trip? There are a number of reports of truly massive overdoses on 2C's, which resulted in a very intense trip of only modestly increased duration, followed by HPPD...
Does he have any trouble telling the difference between the things he sees that aren't real and things that are real? If he does, that is psychosis symptom, not what you would expect from a hallucinogen.

i'm betting its just things that LOOK like people or creatures, or he is exaggerating

2ci is a more likely psych to lead to hppd but if it's just 3 days you can't really tell how long the symptom will last. it does sound clinically significant for the time being. it could go away after a few weeks which it does for many. it could be years if he's one of the lucky 1% or so who get long term hppd (ever since a morning glory trip around 6 years ago, trees and colors haven't been the same... in a good way though. and the other symptoms aren't clinically significant at all, and have calmed down a bit over the years. ive been on clonazepam though which helps them. benzo rebound (recently stopped) made them worse for a while, probably woulda been hell x2 rather than just hell if they were clinically signifiant)

benzos help alleviate it but long term benzo use has its own problems

a doc may try to give him an antipsychotic. if this is HPPD that would be a bad idea. if it really is a psychosis set off by 2ci, it'd help

no one deserves it. it's understandable when a young person is used to drugs that are not available cheaply in bulk, and takes some expecting to "feel how it is and go from there". it's why this site exists

i have heard of this also... dont know how true it was but this kid didnt know the dosage he did and i suppose he did way to much ever since supposely he is stuck in the trip and i heard he checked into somewhere to get help

Is your friend prescribed to any medications? Interactions between some drugs can get pretty nasty...

follow up

well he was talking to people who were not there, thought his house was being invaded was freaking the fuck out as he also was seeing entities flying under his bed i guess and saw ghost plus he started believing the tv was trying to control him with messages and signals he fucking was terrified of the tv. what scared me the most is talking to people who were not there. he has continued to hear voices a couple, but alot, of times following this incident so i dont know what to think. hes not ganna go to a observation unit or mental ward really unless its forced so i had no way to convince him. but he seems leveled out and as far as he has told me he will never do a hallusinogen again for the rest of his life. hes gone as far, much farther, than needed. he was sleeping at least 8 hours each night btw, so it was not sleep dept and also eating fine. i didnt fully explain it so i see how you could conclude hppd but its not hppd if you hear voices and talk to people who are not there while believing signals are being sent to him from the tv. thats pretty psychotic. I mean he was so fucking terrified and there was no way to really talk him down to a normal state. he is lucky he didnt have a heart attack or strip naked and run around town with machetes. seriously. anyways thanks for the responses and just letting you know he finally evened out. peace.

Keep an eye on him, 6 months down the line sober he may feel safe enough to dabble again when the risk will always be there.

If psycotic tendencies come back/continue then seek help as early treatment can apparently make a big difference.

sounds like schizophrenia ... :(

its definitely schizophrenia...sorry man...treatment asap ive seen that medication do pretty good things. just because one episode is over doesnt mean another one wont start, and it might even be more scarier when its not triggered by drugs.
