Alright so I'm 16, and a little birdie close to me gets 8oz of real liquid gold EVERY month like clockwork, and has been for at least 10 yrs. I've only been taking it for a little under 2 yrs, and I take it three times a month, always 50 mL each time but during summers I save it for school because I get a whole bottle for the summer and I just love to be stupid fucked up the whole first week of every new year. My question was am I doing permanent damage ? Mainly to my liver ?? Someone help

Based purely on my assumption that you are asking about (potential) negative side effects from long-term use of opioids, I'll go ahead and move your question over to our grand collective of minds over in the Basic Drug Discussion forum, where I'm absolutely certain you'll be flooded with all the info that you ought to know!

Welcome to Bluelight, I feel very grateful that there are teenagers like yourself out there that pause to consider the unintended consequences of the use of any chemical, especially when it involves such notoriously habit-forming substances as narcotics pain medications.

A tip: You'll be most likely to receive the best suggestions after including more specifics (such as the actual pain medication you've been taking over the years.

Again, welcome to our community!

All the best,

~ Vaya

Chlorpheniramine Maleate

High doses of Chlorpheniramine Maleate (CPM) can cause severe and life-threatening symptoms including seizures; shortness of breath or troubled breathing; weakness; loss of consciousness; severe dryness of mouth, nose, or throat; bleeding from skin, mouth, eyes, rectum, and vagina; and possibly death.

We have seen recommendations that no more than 24 mg of CPM be taken in a day.

Taken from erowid. Sorry I can not give a better answer, these CPM concoctions do not exist in my country. Other than that, you are at risk of physical dependancy from opioids. Unless you overdose, that's pretty much the only drawback of opiates (besides side effects such as constipation). Opiates are really benign drugs as long as you use them correctly.

if you don't know what chlorpheniramine is then you don't know what tussionex really is. Do a little research before you make a stupid choice that could possibly lead to an OD. Based on your response it doesn't seem like you are very educated about what you are actually taking.

I also get 240mls a month and split it into 2 doses and have medical professionals who're acutely aware and accepting of my doing this. No real risk for addiction at least physically because you're only doing it 3 times a month and you're limited by the prescription as I am. I could have more than the 240ml a month but tussionex gets expensive without insurance covering it besides the 240...basically the worst thing gonna happen is you could atart to become psychologically addicted and start basically counting down the days until you take it from the minute you're not high on it anymore which could very well lead to Dr. shopping/scamming(Hey I dropped the glass bottle and here's a picture of it smashed with some yellow shit I made up and put inside before it "fell" trust me I know...) Or going to other opiates/oids

This is a subjective matter...as its generally known that the liver can take a hell of a beating before it is destroyed beyond repair and the human body needs 1/4th of it it survive. Some people fall out early. Some people live with long term drug abuse (alcohol is a drug, I don't separate the stupid terms "drugs and alcohol", no. Alcohol is a drug) and be fine for years and have a slow death.
I know a guy who turned yellow after one night of drinking. Me, I was a gutter drunk and never had liver damage like that. You go to a Dr and have a simple blood sample and see how much liver enzymes are floating around in your blood. It's that simple. They'll tell you how much damage is done.
