I have used a lot of Adderall, Dexedrine, and Ritalin. never in doses exceeding 40mg Add/dex and 100mg Rit. I used the rits pretty much sustained for a year, still get effects though def. not as strong as in the beginning (ns, right). Dex and addies i use less often, but have found that if I save them for a special occasion, and do say a 30mg dose (which once got me really sped in the head) I get only mild effects. It dosen't really seem to matter how long I dont do it for, the tolerance remains.
Is there a cross-tolerance between methylphenidate and d-/amphetamine?
Will my tolerance ever go away?
I know this has been discussed before, but I'd like some specific facts about it..
-thanks

I've heard of people having trouble with adderall tolerance lasting. I've been taking it daily for months and have raised my dose occasionally for a couple days and still seem to lose a good amount of my tolerance after taking a few days or a week off.
As far as the cross tolerance issue goes, I know there isn't a huge amount of cross tolerance. When I switched from methylphenidate to adderall I had quite a tolerance to methylphenidate. The adderall on the other hand significantly affected me at a pretty low dose (10mg).

I've been taking it daily for months also and a week off is enough to really lower my tolerance. You probably won't ever get back to the point where you took 10mg and said "wow, this is great," but try at least a week of abstenence and get plenty of sleep.
