Performance Enhancing Drugs Still Rampant In Baseball Says Victor Conte

This is true.

Let's also not forget that Bonds underwent modern training techniques and routines up the whazoo (steroids notwithstanding) while the Babe would drink beer and eat hot dogs day and night and partied like an animal even on game nights. Hell, he didn't even work out.

Come on, the fences were generally A LOT farther back in Babe's day. He lost countless homers at 450 feet.

Check out The Year Babe Ruth Hit 104 Home Runs. It calculates that the Babe's overall home run count would reach well over 1000 if he were playing today.

This is why it's usually best to view baseball accomplishments in the context of their era. Like that Babe Ruth set a new home run record then more than doubled it the next year. Yeah. Babe Ruth.

Because it is simply not clear who the steroid users are/were.
A lot of names were released in the Mitchell report, but where is the concrete evidence?
What should MLB do, not allow anyone in the HOF just because their name is linked to steroids?
Spend millions dragging baseball's reputation down even farther to try and figure out exactly who used steroids in the 1990s? The US gov couldn't even prove that Bonds used steroids!
Meanwhile, those who are suspected of using steroids - without any evidence - are not voted in to the HOF by baseball writers who want to keep the hall clean.
It is a tricky and sad situation.

Have you read up on this?

And to be safe, I'd say yes. That may finally let the players know that it is not okay under any circumstances to even be associated with someone who uses steroids. Baseball's reputation would in fact be resuscitated by the owners letting fans and players alike know that they care about the integrity of the game enough to catch and punish anyone suspected of cheating, with prison I say.

Game of Shadows is a pretty good book, and presents a great case against Bonds, Jones, as well as others.

Its proven, trust me. People just won't talk. 50% of players is an obscene amount! They could get all the major stars and many more if they really wanted to (if money wasn't so involved).

Fans like to believe there is no evidence because they love the game so much, and MLB officials are playing off that. Sad, my friend.

Ryan Braun has hit as many home runs this year as he hit the entirety of last year. Last year was the year that he supposedly had testosterone levels 3 times higher than anyone ever tested (or something), and this year I suppose he has a detail of piss collectors following him at all times.

Just saying.
