had a slight skiing accident which sucked considering i can't write for finals :(
well i got perscribed percoset for my fractured and dislocated shoulder. i ate all 20 of them. now, tonight i woke up 5 times and the last time i cannot go back to sleep. has my body developed a dependancy upon them. i know i should be very tired now but im not. WHATS GOING ON???

After only 20 i really don't think so give it another day you sould be fine. Did you it them all at once? If u didn't ask for a refill. hope that helps

im hoping you mean over time... not 20 in one sitting.. anyway, its prob somethihn else.. ive been doing opiates for 2 years now weekly, and still dont get withdrawls but for maybe the first half of the next day..

I can't sleep on oxycodone (the active ingredient in percosets) either.
Some opiates are just like that for some people. It's not unusual to not be able to sleep on an opiate. People seem to think that opiates ALWAYS make you drowsy enough to fall asleep, but this is not the case. I even find oxycodone to be slightly stimulating.

Yep, sometimes opiates do that to me too. It feels like my body is enjoying the high too much to fall asleep.

All opiates have a stimulating effect to them under certain doses. Even heroin has a concurrent stimulant effect if you don't take enough to nod out.
Oxycodone definantly has a noticeable stimulant effect and it has to have mostly worn off before I can sleep after taking it. That or I have to be completely exhausted.

yeah! I agree with fairnympth and love in vein...I used to be able to sleep well on opiates, but something has changed- if I get pretty high I can't sleep at all..weird!
a little story!
last night! SWIM was out drinking and packin his beak with coke, went back to his friends house and sat around for a couple hours..completely tired, then decided to hook up some dope ..did just one bag when he went home and cleaned the entire house and then ended up staying awake all night...funny that he didn't do this when he was all coked up, he would have rather went to bed
But to answer your question. If you were taking them for a few days your body has been pretty mellow the entire time..you may have picked up a slight dependence, but nothing that won't subside after a day or two

More ironic is that oxycodone is the only opiate i can sleep on, though i think its more of a passing out.. Every other opiate i get in a very light sleep where you cans till percieve. Its ok though cuz your high, who need sleep when you can lay in eupphoria?

I usually cannot fall asleep when Im on oxycodone either. Low doeses are usually not a problem but if Ive been taking a lot than yes, sleep is a problem. If you downed 20, it is not surprising that you are having troubles. I doubt its withdrawl symptoms...

i can relate to the staying up, ate 6 last night and cleaned and organized shit in my house for about 4 hours, sometimes it is diff though and i will just lay back and feel groggy. but yea as far as the effects i get off these pills in comparison with meth, damn for a speedy fuk, i can be lazy as hell, but damn give me a pain pill and ill be up all night.
