Opioids Percocets, Clonazepam, Nuvigil. I'd like your input

Hey all, I am prescribed percs, klonopin, and nuvigil from my pain management doctor and my GP. I have an extra three bones in my coccyx ('cause I'm animalistic, y'know?) and it's quite a bitch.

I've never taken Nuvigil before, and I am excited to try it. It was prescribed to offset the drowsiness from my benzo and opiate prescriptions so that I can focus in school/medical rotations.

"Methadone is metabolized by several liver enzymes in the CYP2* cluster, with CYP3A4 being an important metabolizer. Because modafinil up-regulates CYP1A2, CYP2B6, and CYP3A4/5, the action of methadone may be substantially shortened."

So, should I expect less out of my percocets? Or is Nuvigil metabolized differently than it's racemic mixture, modafinil?

Erowid says "Opiates/Methadone", but I wonder if methadone is metabolized differently than oxycodone.

Nuvigil/Armodafinil isn't really that strong, unless you take a good bit or it or are sensitive. But the buzz you will get if you dose up is nice enough. If Nuvigil is metabolized like modafinil, then yes, it will probably act the same regarding shortening your percocet buzz. Might not be as server as with methadone, but it probably will be noticeable. This is all assuming that methadone and oxycodone are metabolized by the same/similar enzymes, which I believe they are (although I've been wrong before). If you were to also take some tagamet or diphen along with your cocktail here, I HIGHly doubt you'll notice any shortening of the effects of your percs.

To me, taking an opiate WITHOUT tagament is a waste. I always make sure I got some on hand.

So toothpastedog, do you think that if I potentiate the opiates to make them last longer, it could potentially cancel out the "shortening" effect of the enzymes inducted by Nuvigil to break down the opiate quicker?

I see your logic...wonder if it works like that. I'll look into it.

Anyone else got any opinions??

tbh I have no first hand experience. it's just a hypothesis. why not give it a try and let us know?

I'm not sure if it's increasing the opiate's metabolism or if i just don't feel the opiate as much b/c I'm stimulated...but either way, it kinda ruins my opiate buzz. It does work very well for its intended purpose and I really like it for studying.
I've never been a big fan of stimulants; tried 'em all, minus meth and crack, but this nuvigil is something else. I really am quite happy with this cocktail I got going.
