New to the site:

I have been taking 60-70mg (10-325) Percocet daily for about 7 months. I stopped for a couple weeks 2 times. I read all the horror stories on the internet about withdrawal which is why I keep taking them. I stopped today and feel fine but keep waiting for the worst to happen. Is it possible not to withdraw from the levels I was taking ? I was told I shouldn't really feel anything and to stop now. Just looking for some non-horror stories from stopping at my level of intake. I can take a piece of a sub, however, I don't want to switch.

How long has it been since you last took a dose?

It is possible that at your doses and for the amount of time you have been on them that your WDs may be minimal. I definately would NOT switch to subs. If you take them for very long you WILL have WDs from them and they are much longer lasting than it would be from oxycodone.

Also, you weren't real clear in your post..did you experience WDs the other times that you stopped taking them?

Thanks you for responding. Last time, about 2 months ago' I took a piece of a Sub ( I cut it in fours and took one piece) and I was fine for 2 weeks. My last dose was last night at 9pm. The internet can make you crazy with all the horror stories. I travel a lot for work and the last thing I need is to start going through WD on a plane. Thanks again for responding

You might be fine with nothing. Play it by ear. If you NEED to, try taking .5mg, nothing the next day, then .25 mg. nothing for two days, then .125 mg. you should be fine after that. Your habit isn't huge and you don't seem to have been doing it long. The first WD is the easiest. It gets a lot harder down the line.

generally, the end of day 2 and on through day 3 is the worst of it..tomorrow you'll have a better idea what you're in for.
stick to reading how to combat oxy withdrawl instead of getting caught up in what could happen
and deepening any anxiety you're feeling. honestly oxy w/d's easier than most others and
generally doesn't last more than a week..the horror stories tend to flow out from those with much worse habits
than yours.

Thanks for all the replies. I appreciate the advice. Looking forward to being done with these things!!!!

Thanks. Is there anything natural I can take to raise endorphin levels while going through this ? Energy drinks ??? I am drinking coffee and just crash

A 70mg a day habit for 7 months shouldn't be too hard to kick
Get some pregabalin or gabapentin, sleeping pills, benzos, loperamide and smoke cannabis constantly lol

After about a week you'll feel almost 100% again, I'm not saying it's going to be a cake walk but this will hopefully make you learn a habit isn't worth the wd, and it get's harder each time

Good luck friend

forcing food and water is all that's ever helped me naturally.
during w/d it has to be a fight otherwise i'd go weeks without, way too easily.
i've a pretty good friend who's in much better shape than i'll ever be in-
he swears by adrenal supplements you can find at gmc, during w/d.
AdrenalPlus is one of the names..sorry it's all i know..
still for you it might be worth a go..

Thanks to all for replies and support. Today is day 3 and it's definitely not easy. I'm glad I'm stopping now before I couldn't do this on my own. I have no energy, barely enough to make a cup of coffee, my mood is all over the place. I'm working from home the next few days, so I am lucky I can get away with working on the couch. The hard part is answering the phone, just don't feel like talking about work. My stomach is in knots and my anxiety is through the roof. My cravings are strong today and I know I can go about my day if I just take a few, but I'm fighting the fight. These pills are the devil and all because of a back injury, I'm suffering even more. My friends are saying to get through today and it will get better and this is nothing compared to what I am reading on the internet. A close friend is a heroine survivor and is keeping me focused and shared his WD story which is 100 times worse, if I don't stop now, I will be right there !!! My heart goes out to all the people that have to go through this experience. Just needed to vent and keep my mind occupied.

I found that over the counter Imodium AD 2$ gas station helps the belly and other symptoms. Anxiety is going to sky rocket, especially because you are limited to your daily routine. I found that .5 of Benzo,"high doses is not good" helped with that issue for a while, because after day 3-5 you should feel better. Vitamin C is important!!! Sleeping is a must, your body needs to recharge. All the PMs meds out there are not all meant to keep you asleep, just to help you fall asleep. If you have it handy take another .5 Benz, but no other PM meds. See how that works out, everyone reacts differently to WDs, I was up to 90mg Roxie's a day oral and it took me 6 days for my brain to produce natural high and my immune system to get rolling.

This is just some of my experience, figured I throw that in. :)
Best of luck to you and you already on BlueLight, so that means you need to stick with it.
I discovered that there's a lot more out there once I seen clear.

Lookingfochange, just wanted to say that your doing a good job. Day 2/3 are usually the worst so you've almost made it through that portion of the journey. You will feel better on day 4. I don't want to get your hopes up to much but a lot of the physical stuff your going through will be starting to subside. An day 5 will be even better, I guess the best way to put it is your going to be through the worst of it after 3 days. In the later days of withdrawals, days 4/5/6, etc. you'll be in less physical aliment but you will have some psychological issues such as cravings, maybe some anxiety, but at least you won't feel like the walking dead physically while dealing with those issues. Best of luck to you, keep posting so we can see how your doing.

Read into PAWS, there's going to be have to be changes in your life that might hurt some people along the way for example people you took Percs with or are still taking them, but this is for you. You don't want to be around anything at least for 1st month, the cravings will be huge. :(
Change of routine is going to be the key to success. If you don't try walk, run, exercise after day 4 and you should start see big diffrence in your body and mind. Your belly will be not happy with everything you consume, so be prepared for that. As I mentioned earlier some belly help Imodum AD, it's actually an opiate "NO you don't get High of it" it does not cross BBB. I found that 2mg of Imodum was perfect for 6-8 hours. By your post you should be in your day 4, try to get out or do something, might sound funny, but if you are make or female " stimulation" :) sex or something to get the body going is proven to help.

Just like ZombieAssassin mentioned you made it this far and PAWS are going to happen. You just have to stick with it and soon your brain will produce natural High and it's the best clean feeling in the world.
Keep it up, almost there
Great Job!!

Day 4- Thank you so much for the support. I am not feeling anything physical at this point but I have little to no energy. It's amazing how your mind plays games with you and is saying just take one and you will be ok. I'm thinking back to day 1 and saying Fuck Off !! I used to go to the gym 3-4 days a week on opiates and now I cant find the energy to get to my car but it's getting better. Going to the sauna today and sweat for a goof half hour and see if it helps. I keep getting a burst of energy at night and nothing during the morning(Weird). Not to sound gross, I cant stop pissing, not the other way hearing about crapping all the time (Bowl movements seem normal) Sorry if this is TMI and my pupils are huge, which I guess is a sign of WD. This site had been a huge help and thanks for the post not to read all the horror stories from stopping. This is why I continued to use them since I was scared. I still have a long road ahead, good thing is my friends don't use opiates and want nothing to do with them after my experience.

^I am the same way with the pissing thing. At least every hour I need to urinate during acute w/d phase. I have cold turkeyed from a habit about the same as yours once and twice from about 2x what you were taking.

I'll keep things on the gross side, as I don't mind at all...usually when I start w/d'ing, around 12 hours after my last use, I just take one huge, loose bowel movement. After that its like my colon is empty and I can barely eat anything so I don't have much issues with constant diarrhea like some say. If I do eat something it does go straight thru me, but again its not the constant running to the can, just a one and done thing. I also never vomit like many people do, but the constant nausea and lack of appettite is awful.

Congrats on getting thru to the other side, definitely not an easy task. Keep your friends around and make sure they don't let you slip up. You will get cravings to use and the energy takes sometime to get back.

The constant urination is the side effect of opioids leaving your system, mine lasted lil over a week started at day 5 ended at day 15. Sorry for some specifics such as days, I was very organized when I attempted mine WDs. Belly issues will be there some minor, some major. Sometimes it's first symptom and sometimes it kicks in later on "day 10" it depends on what state is your belly. Meaning if you were taking 160mg of Roxie's a day, YES you will poop a lot, but if your dose was smaller than not necessarily have any symptoms.

Keep in mind vitamin c vitamin c vitamin c it's important to help your body. You can take other vitamins if you choose so, but worked great for me.
It seems like you got it, just stick with it. I would say you are probably pass major physical WDs.<-just mine opinion
Don't worry about TMI, we all went thru this or going thru this and being specific is the best way to concur this big wall.
I just kicked my habit lil over 5 weeks, so I know exactly what you going thru.
Keep us posted
Great job keep it up

Thanks for the input. Ay my current levels, how long did it take to get your energy back ? My mind feels like I can go to the gym, my body is so tired. Sons of Anarchy episodes are getting me through the day Thank god there are so many seasons.

Day 5. I have to say this is a great forum, so much support which really helped. My biggest struggle is sleeping at night which I am ok with after what others have experienced. My mood is definitely getting better and my energy levels. I went out to dinner last night and had no stomach issues. My friends call every morning and night to check in which has helped. The weather really sucks here, so its hard to get out. The cravings kick in in the morning to give me that boost for the day, but doing research and listening to folks on the forum, I feel I got lucky this time. Making plans for the weekend to be around positive people, out of bars and start the week fresh with work.
