Percocet vs. Tylenol w/Codeine

I apologize if this is in the wrong section. I'm new to this site and it's always overwhelming to look at all the sections when you're new to a forum.

Anyway, I usually take 3 percocets (10 mg each) and it gives me a pretty strong high. I don't know if my "strong" is the same as yours would be, since I'm inexperienced, but for me it's a pretty good effect when I take 3 of them.

However, I get very strong withdrawals from them after going a day without taking them. Basically my only symptom when this happens is an AWFUL migraine, but still, it drives me insane until it finally leaves me around 2 or 3 days later. I'm just now getting over the last migraine I had from them and I'm deciding against taking them again for at least a month so the headache isn't as bad the next time I take them (this past week I had taken them twice, so that's why this migraine was so bad).

If I take Tylenol with Codeine, will that Oxycodone withdrawal from the Percocet act up from the codeine in the Tylenol? In other words, would my brain react to the Tylenol the next day the same way it would as if I were to take Percs again? I don't want to deal with a headache even worse than the one from a few days ago. If I'm going to get a withdrawal from the Tylenol, I'd want it to be ONLY from the codeine and not the oxycodone as well, so that way the headache wouldn't be as bad. I hope you guys understand what I'm asking, and I hope I don't sound like an idiot (I am ignorant to all of this stuff, but still).

Also, two smaller questions:
-Is the high from the Tylenol going to feel about the same as the percs? If not, how will it feel, better or not as good?
-How many should I take in order to give me a good high, based on the fact that I usually do 30 mg of percs?

Thanks in advance.

30mg oxycodone equals roughly 200-225mgs of codeine. The codeine if taken in small doses shouldn't be as bad to withdrawal from as oxycodone is and would help withdrawal tremendously but if you do take high doses to get the same oxy high, you could end up in the same boat. After all an opiate is an opiate.

I have used codeine to taper off stronger painkillers before but eventually we always have to pay the price for our actions and go through some pain. That is if we don't want to become a full blown addict.

I know that the conversion calculators say that but in terms of 'euphoria' and analgesia I don't even get the same effect from like 600mg of codeine than I do from 30mg of oxy.

^^yep that's quite common some people just don't metabolise codeine very well and some metabolise it so that it hits them a lot stronger and those people generally have a really hard time coming off of it whereas the ones who don't metabolise it so well only have mild withdrawal symptoms when use is ceased.

Codeine is metabolized to morphine in the liver by an enzyme. Some people have a variation of this enzyme that changes codeine to morphine faster and more completely than in other people. These individuals are called ultra-rapid metabolizers of codeine.
The number of ultra-rapid metabolizers seems to vary among different population groups and is random.

1. WTF. No, I don't know what you're asking.
2. It won't feel nearly as good. The goal would be to kill the WD headache , not catch a buzz
3. 12 pills in a CWE.
