Opioids Percocet/Vicodin to Methadone? Also tapering and Suboxone questions

IMO, whatever you decide to do, stay away from the meth. It's hard to cut it. You could do the all thing with taper vics, as said above and without the help of the subs, this sounds the best to me. But you could use the subs, just don't take big doses and don't use them for a long time..Good luck, don't worry, the things aren't so difficult...Merry Christmas my friend!:)

Now I go on runs where I get up to 300 mgs a day so 10 mgs would sound like nothing to me. If you really want off don't even think of methadone or subs. Sorry to say but your only 20 and have 7 bad discs, you may have to be on opiates all your life. I applaud you for trying to live with pain. It will get worse as you grow older. Good luck!!!!!

Im prescribed only 30 a month yes, but sometimes I have to aliveate from the pain and i used to abuse it terrible as iv said shooting up to 150mg at a time, i currently still take a lot more (90-100mg) when i want to be like a regular 20 year old, and just to catch a small buzz. I just have no idea what to do
 
and thanks for all your help everyone its been a shitty year, I was wondering something else pertaining to this too, about 2 weeks ago i took 30mg methadone and the long half life made it so i did not have to take percocet/vicodin/nucynta, but will i get bad w/d? because i hear about people using subs for a few days then stopping oxycodone completey and the w/d being minimal. Because im used to taking say 10mg one day then nothing for 2 days then 90mg after the two days then 10mg 3 days in a row then a 3 days in a row...so if i were to take 10mg methadone would the cold turkey be easier?
 
I see you're 20 & taking plenty of opiates but for good reason, 7 bad discs............im assuming you will be on opiates for the rest of your life unless the doctors can fix your problem with surgery.

As for the methadone, I have used it before for my back pain & it worked wonderfully............I never used more than 5mgs.......I usually use 2.5 mgs like twice a month when I just want to be completely pain free & methadone does do it for me. I wouldnt recommend using methadone more than 2 days in a row tho. Methadone does wonders for pain but be careful you dont over do it.
