Opioids Percocet (oxycodone): How effective is cold water extraction? Plus a couple other Qs

Percocet (5mg oxycodone, 325mg acetaminophen) has a prescribed dose of 1 tablet every six hours. It’s the acetaminophen that’s the stuff to be wary of, so assuming cold water extraction removes 90%, that would mean a person could take ten pills worth every six hours.

In fact, according to my research:

http://prescription-drug.addictionblog.org/how-much-percocet-is-too-much/

Amounts of more than 1,000mg acetaminophen are inadvisable. Assuming cold water extraction was 90% effective, that would mean that up to 30 pills could be taken every six hours.

However, if my figure of 90% is wrong then the maths falls apart! I wonder if anyone knows how effective cold water extraction is? Let’s imagine you live in a country where Percocet is readily available over the counter for US$8 for 10. Getting the absolute maximum amount of oxy out of each tablet is not a priority. How would you do the extraction? Coffee filters are very slow!

Also, assuming that you have a cheap, limitless supply, what would be the best way to proceed with caution in regard to addiction? Let’s say that four pills (20mg oxy) is nice but wears off a bit too quickly so you were thinking of six pills once a week. Would that be problematic?

And finally, what are some nice activities to do whilst taking it? I heard about a guy who went for a massage and got very friendly with the nice girl there. Nothing creepy. She was like “I’m new here and nobody else has talked to me. I hate silence!”.

I'm not certain exactly how effective CWE is percentage-wise for getting rid of acetaminophen, somebody else might have better info in that regard but it depends on exact method. You can use tissue paper or kleenex for CWE though, those coffee filters are pretty painful to wait on...

My favorite activities were always movies and wishing I didn't itch so goddamn badly.

You're asking if it's okay to keep upping your desired dose as needed? Um.... yes....yes that would be problematic in some cases. I think you knew the answer to that. Just try and be aware of when/if you're starting to depend on it, and act accordingly.

The guideline I always recalled is a max of 4000mg per dose, any more than 10,000mg per 24 hours, see a doctor. 1000mg of acetaminophen is a pretty low limit.

Vacuum assisted filtration in a Buchner or sintered glass funnel, wash it gently with cold distilled water to ensure you get the alkaloid out.

If you want to avoid dependency, don't increase your dose ever. This is exactly how people end up going down the slippery slope. Every time you increase your dose rather than taking a break or finding an adjunct medicine to potentiate your oxy, you're mentally weakening yourself and making it easier to increase your dose next time.

Also, never assume the supply of cheap drugs will last forever. If the supply vanishes or the price jumps up and you're on a 400mg per day oxy habit, you're up shit creek with no paddle.
