Hello, this is my first post.
I was wondering if any of you have any experience with fycompa (perampanel)? I was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and my neurologist prescribed it to me. It's really expensive and I have just started taking it. I am currently on a low dose so I have yet to do much experimenting with it. I do notice that it has really helped me- I went from having seizures daily to having practically none. I have been taking my daily dose an hour or two before bed and it Makes me drowsy and slightly euphoric. Even at a low dose it seems to effect my vision similar to taking a low dose of k when your vision is slightly more clear/crisp. Any experience or insight would be appreciated.

You have daily seizures and experiment with drugs. I can't really blame you because I'm not exactly drug free but that sounds extremely dangerous.

AMPA is a extremely important excitory neurotransmitter like nmda in the brain. Wiki does say this drug at high doses produces PCP like effects at high doses. But since PCP reinforcing effects are heavily related to the action of nmda sensitizing the reward pathways making them more sensitive to firing somewhat like alcohol it prob has all the hallucinations but I doubt it has the euphoria

Yeah, I didn't have seizures until the last year when I was in an auto accident and received a traumatic brain injury. For which the perampanel has been a lifesaver. I was a heroin addict for over a decade and am currently on MMT.aside from opiates my drug of choice is ketamine and similar dissociatives. from my experience taking my nightly dose of perampanel I notice a bit of euphoria in that fucked up, drowsy and relaxed muscles sort of way. But I'm not sure if that feeling would still be present at higher doses. If anyone has more of an understanding of perampanel's mechanism of action besides what is on Wikipedia that would be greatly appreciated. I am a organic chemistry major so it (hopefully) wouldn't go right over my head.
