I think drugs are an important part of discovering your self and they can be a very pleasurable break from the system.

just as long as you don't go overboard and hurt yourself (or someone else) its a great life experience.

sharpezor, i'm assuming you're generally speaking of basic psychedelic use.

is that correct?

do you feel the same about the use of uppers and downers? if so, why?

i'm curious as to see where you are coming from.

Musn't... close... crappy... thread....

I think that everyone here can agree that drugs are the fucking shit... however... I don't think that everyone in the world who chooses not to use is really missing out all that much... I mean... well... Its their choice not to use. Good for them.

Insult me and find out what happens... You don't want to get to tusslin' with me. I'll tear your shits up.

I'm not sure what you mean by "drugs" I mean everyone in the world will do a drug at least once in their life. Even if you classify it as sex, tv, reading a book, eating food, etc. A change in brain chemistry is a drug. If you mean recreational drugs well... some people are just happier not doing them and getting off on something else. But their pretty much experiencing what you are just in a round about way.

WHAT?! Drugs are one of the most sublime and incredible experiences this world has to offer, to die never having experienced a psychedelic experience or the extasy of opiates would be a shame.

For those people who choose not to use I totally respect that, its their choice.
But I would say they are missing out, how can you put a price on having an experience you don't have the words to describe?

oh put your fucking e penis away, we can disagree with you goobers, even if you have a stupid title under your name. *insert smilie and winkie*

srsy though, in regards to the opening post, if this hasn't been done to death, it is a good thread. i do agree, i was a complete agnostic until i experienced certain chems so i do believe, arrogantly, that i am better than those that haven't experienced it.

Yeah, I'd have to say that people who choose to abstain have my respect in some ways, but they truly are missing out.

An example is sky-diving: The person who is willing to jump and put their life on the line for such an incredible and awe-inspiring experience, versus the person who would rather stay on the ground and not put themselves in a (slightly) risky situation, therefore missing out on the experience, but remaining totally safe. Just like in sky-diving, most people can jump and land fine, and maybe walk away with a new outlook on life they wouldn't have obtained otherwise, while some may plummet to their deaths because of their or someone else's foolishness.

It's your decision to jump.

if people chose not to take drugs, more power to them. It's a very much narrow minded opinion to say that they're missing out simply because they don't take drugs, everyone gets their rocks off in different ways, infact for a long time before I became a regular user of drugs I used to do weights and run every day and I used to get almost the same kind of feeling after bench pressing more than I weighed and running home from the gym as I do when I drop 2 pills and smoke some tasty rock

Nah sharpezor I'm not gonna beat you up... in fact I'm going to be the bigger person and just ignore the fact that you're being a rude asshole.. I'll let it go cause I'm nice like that.

However, if you EVER step out of line I'll make sure that you do regret it.

Have a good night.

Obviously you don't realize the full power of my modstick.

Drug use shouldn't define you as a person. Maybe there are a lot of people out there who wouldn't be able to mentally handle a pychedelic experience or who wouldn't enjoy opiates (I know I sure don't). Using drugs is a very personal choice, and you need to go about it for the right reasons. Remember, drugs effect everyone differently so just because you had an awesome mind blowing experience doesn't mean that everyone else is going to either.

People who choose not to use deserve just as much respect as everyone who chooses to use.

Just my .02
