I was curious about the people that have had HPPD.
When did it seem to go away and what methods did you do to deal with them?
Was there anything that you have taken, to help take your concentration off of the so called "disorder".
I'm looking for keys and hints!
Help!
Not users who keep downing on it and saying it's forever because that's negativity. I need some positive input on how to help this "disorder".
It would be very appreciated on those members who have had it go away or slowly disapate put their input, on how to deal with or even give recommendations on medications that have helped them forget about it.

It lasts forever your stuck man there is no hope were all in the same boat just gotta ride it out. Life is so shit :-(

HPPD comes with the territory.

I saw it coming when I was eating acid twice a week for months and combining it with various RCs and whatnot.

no such thing as HPPD, its a condition that only exists in your mind

Perma trails, doubled negative letter hovering around texts, the sky full of a true shit ton of floaters, static, and patterns on surfaces tend to tell me otherwise lol. I still have very sharp vision and it doesn't impact my reading skills, but the magnified psychedelic distortions are apparent at many points.

I don't consider myself to have HPPD due to the diagnosis conditions, it really isn't something that bothers me. People that are anxious that also experience these sorts of visual residue would be HPPD patients imo.

I have mild hppd, been totally sober for 2 months, hasn't gotten a wink better. It doesn't bother me though, never really did. If nothing more it serves as a constant reminder that my 2 years of smoking absurd ammounts of pot all day every day was a bad call. Whether or not the pot caused it or just made it much worse i can't say, as there were one or two occasions when i took LSD for a few days strait during the pot smoking. But i consider the vision induced by psychedelics to be more natural then the every day "filtered" way of seeing, so i guess thats why it doesn't bother me. That, and also knowing that it isn't any sort of brain damage or psychosis.

Do you have to be a heavy user to get HPPD or is something that can come any time even your first?

I have HPPD but have not heavily used psychedelics. I had one or two short binges but other then that it was every few months. However i do tribute mine to being caused by cannabis, so if i am correct this response is moot.

I like devin's posts in this thread on this subject and find my experience kind of similar. When I first started tripping years ago at first I saw it as an ability (the ability make myself trip sober). After awhile I wondered if it was a detriment.

A key thing in my deciding that it wasn't really a detriment was my noticing through activities like driving and skateboarding, etc. that it wasn't effecting my ability to see or operate my body in the physical world.

Upon realizing that it faded and now it's almost controllable, definitely more malleable to my will. I only notice it when I'm really stoned. It never bothers me when I need it to not bother me, and it entertains me or helps me think sometimes when I want it to, arguably positive, at least neutral consequences.

I had it after lots of 2ci(main culprit, used lots) and some tryptamines, using them often too. i dont have it anymore (6-7 years later)

Some people, like me, get it from minimal use. I've used plenty of times since though and it hasn't significantly worsened ;)

I had severe HPPD coming out of this summer. Most of my symptoms were severe anxiety flash backs to a stressful trip involving the law, floaters in the sky like nopipesdfw said.Real depth perception that sometimes effected my driving. And most off "The Shutter Effect". My vision would appear to be like i was watching a 1920's movie.

Mind you i have been eating LSD for the past 2 years totaling in over 150+ hits of LSD, dmt, mushrooms, 2c-i, and a fair share of mdma. So i was due for a break before this started happening.

Marijuana smoking was severely stressful and overwhelming. I was also feeling extreme ego death for over a month. It was like my personality had shattered and i forgot who i was but was still intact. It was one of the most confusing parts of my entire life.

I havent done any psychedelic in about 3 months now and ive been able to comfortably smoke marijuana and my sober hppd has basically gone away. I did alot of self healing through meditation and repaired my soul at about 90% now. Altho when i smoke marijuana it becomes incredibly psychedelic, but i know what to expect now and wouldnt want it any other way.

So from my personal experience, you will get better with proper diet and rest. Meditating was one of the main healers when it came to my hppd. Give it a try and let me know how it works out:)

Many years back during highscool I had it for awhile, as well as sentance structure syntax being out of order, was doing lots of lucy and other psychs around then, it went away once I stopped being so frequent about use.

I had HPPD for a while, I was taking at least 6 hits of LSD a week at the time. I abstained from recreational drugs for about 6 months and it went away. I learned enjoy the HPPD though. A few beers would produce OEVs, and cannabis would give me a full fledged trip.
