People that believe weed solves every problem

Does anyone else get annoyed by the type of stoners who believe weed solves every problem and can replace virtually any medication?

I have a friend who, whenever he asks me a question about other drugs, he usually always rebukes with "That's why I just smoke weed" or something of similar nature. Like when I told him I was on suboxone and I am fine with being on it for awhile because it keeps me stable and exceedingly functional, his reaction was of course "I only need marijuana to function".

It really grinds my gears sometimes! I'm not hating on weed at all either; it definitely has its own place in my heart. I just also happen to have a curiosity of exploring other intoxications.

Also, the stoner culture these days is getting quite repetitive and soldout/watered down. Wiz Khalifa, Kottonmouth Kings, people who post constantly on facebook about how they're just getting stoned, sometimes like to kick it up a notch by posting about dabs, blah blah blah. I mean how can so much entertainment be created which just soley focuses on marijuana? I mean doesn't it get tiring by these musicians to write songs ONLY about weed???
 
I know the kind of person youre talking about and it can be obnoxious sometimes but everyone is different amd weed might really be the only drug they need to have a good time. Cant really knock them for it, not too many potheads going to rehab over an out of control habit you know?

Im a pothead myself but because it is illegal where I live I dont really talk about it outside of people I already know who smoke. It defintely wasnt enough for me either but it is still the one drug I enjoy the most on its own, and the one drug I could see myself actually using while improving myself, with opiates I kind of just get by enough to get fucked up. When Im only smoking weed I can actually save money
 
Yah its pretty annoying. A lot of times weed just doesn't calm me down enough. So I have a drink or two. Then I got to hear from some uppity stoner about how its the most dangerous drug blah blah. Fuck you I'm enjoying my beer. I don't go around and tell you how to live your life.
 
Hahhah I enjoy cannabis (not NEARLY as much I used to, used to be pretty much addicted smoking 6-7 grams a day) and I know what you're talking about.

But you can't argue that it's not safer than drugs like opiates, amphetamines, benzos, etc....because it definitely is.

But, it is a drug, and I have seen people completely ruin their lives over it (just like people do with other drugs), so yeah, I feel what you're saying. But weed has caused me the least problems of any other drug I have done.

Seriously, if I had a dollar for every time someone suggested weed for my chronic pain (that even heroin can't fully erase), or weed for my nausea, opiate related or otherwise, or weed for my menstrual cramps, I'd have maybe $70. I hate weed, it rarely does anything good for me. No, trying it yet again won't change my mind. Fuck off. :X
 
I went on a semi-rant about this, specifically about smoking Cannabis to ease Anxiety.

My response:
Exactly. Just like any other psychoactive substance in the world, including Caffeine and Sugar, Cannabis is not for everyone. Also the misconception that only Sativa strains can cause Anxiety is false. I get paranoid when I smoke pure Indicas without any amount of Sativa being present. Theres always exceptions to the majority. I dont understand why people dont get that into their heads.

I know plenty of people on both ends of the spectrum. Im in the middle: Indicas make me paranoid and hyper; Sativas chill me the fuck out.

Cannabis has been a huge help for all of my symptoms and recognize that it helps a lot of, but I dont push it onto people I barely know especially when I dont know how they react to Cannabis.
 
It's a pity it didn't cure Bob Marley's cancer. Perhaps he was sold some bunk JWH

this post just makes me laugh....when I was in rehab there were these kids always playing the same MP3s on their ipods.....

there's good music to listen to when you're high but songs where it actually contains "dicksizing" about the specific amounts of weed you smoke?....that shits wack!

Wiz Khalifa irritates me to no end too!....I think there was a tour last year that was Wiz Khalifa, Kottonmouth kings and some other band that all their songs are about weed....Those shows must have been Retard fest 2012!

On another note, I don't smoke much weed now, but I definitely have and I can see a lot of people's point that it's better to smoke weed than to be on a boatload of prescription meds, or addicted to hard drugs! Once I get used to smoking it, if I don't over-do it, it really does help me with my anxiety and racing thoughts, I don't think it's the answer to everything though!

Honestly I love smoking pot as much as the uppity stoner but i'm amazed so many younglings think that they are following in the steps of "musical geniuses" only to find out their ipod consists only of kottonmouth kings and pot luck...

Yeah but you don't go around to everybody who does other shit or drinks and say "wow that's so bad for you you should just smoke weed all the time, it's not even a drug, you guys are GOING TO HELL"
