this brings me to another question, if heroin does always end up in hardcore addiction, then whats to be said about lifelong heroin chippers??i dont know any personally but i have read articles about high-functioning white collar chippers...does nyone on here know any chippers??how long have they been at it??
you dont know any personally, but you heard about them...
Lets go back to that...
You dont know any personally... So, why the fuck is u believeing some articles, or shit on the internet, or wtfever it is thats telling you these stories?? Are you gonna believe numbers created by supposed surveys that "somebody" took , of "some dope users"? Users who could be lying, users who would have no reason to tell the truth to outsiders, and
^most experts on heroin addiction will say the numbers are cinsistent throughout the years, there are around 500,000 heroin addicts and around 2,000,000 heroin chippers as we would call it..now, i wonder what % of those chippers eventually become addicts??surely there are some studies done on this?? the book, heroin, myth and reality states that the majority of street kids that take heroin arent daily users, they are chippers..they just claim they are addicts for whatever reason...sooo, how do they do it??
Wat the fuck does "street kids" have to do with this? The population of users that is homeless , is definately not the majority of heroin users. This info you are saying sounds like some second or third hand ASSUMPTIONS....Like, well i heard from this doctor so called expert mutha fucka, that asked so and so about some people using dope, and he said that they said this, which is wat Im reporting...and you are saying wat hes reporting...You aint providing no backup for wat you saying, just some "I think i heard this somewhere at some time" type ish...come on you got to do better than that, if you gonna say such suspect shit as you are saying.
Also, you got close to figuring it out there when you said, i wonder wat percent of those chippers become addicts...There you go....If those statistics is true, which we really dont kno right now since you just saying some telephone shit, all they represent is the revolving door of addiction....So theres half a mil addicts, and 2 million nonaddicted users at any time...Well in a year, maybe 100,000 of those addicts is dead, 100,000 is in jail, 50,000 is in rehab, and 250,000 of those former chippers has moved on to bein addicts, and they are replaced by 250,000 new users jus starting out who is chipping, and the cycle goes on...Now, those numbers that i just said is 100%, completey, totally made up, guessed, random, just pulled outta my ass for the purpose of makin a explanation, but you get the idea...Most people who have used more than a handful of times and stopped, who are chippin, will eventually at some point get addicted. It may be a mild short addiction, it might be a hard, severe, quick one, it might be long and light, it might be long, hard, miserable, and fatal, it could be anything, not everyone becomes a lifelong junkie, but most of em will experience addiction in some way or another at some time in their life.
The long term chippers who never get down and dirty with it, they do exist but its a EXTREMELY small percent of the population that uses.
I dont kno where the hell u got the idea that only 2 or 3 out of 10 ppl that tries dope becomes addicted to it from...U want to provide a source there?
Cuz wat i seen, in my 8 years of bein involved in the world of opiates...
Is a whole lot of people who try it, like it, and chip...And they chip for a while...And they do it recreational, only sometimes, only when they cant get oxys maybe....And then they do it one extra day a week....And then one more day a week..Maybe it takes 6 months , a year, maybe it takes 2 years, maybe it takes 3 years, and they do it more and more, and then you got a regular-ass addiction just like anyone else.
I known lots of people who was chippers....But the important part is that THEY DIDNT STAY THAT WAY...
When people say all this bullshit about, bla bla, heroin aint that addictive, u can use it recreaionally if you got the willpower, and all that shit they talk...They aint reconizing one important point about it..
Is that , in most heroin users lives, who is using recreationaly or chipping...There comes a point, some time down the line, whenever it may be, where something happens, that causes them to just not give a fuck any more. At that time, they look at their life the way it is, and for watever reason that upset them, depressed them, or w/ever it is, they say, you know wat...I been controlling this...I CAN control it...But i just DONT WANT TO ANY MORE....And thats when the addiction begins...
You can either listen to people saying numbers that dont really mean shit, or look around you at the lives of yourself,l your friends, the people you know and see, the ones that you seen with your own eyes, becuz when it comes to shit like this the reports aint never gonna be accurate anyways. In this case, its best to go with wat you KNOW...Not wat you read and think...You gona trust some guy saying, Oh, only 20 percent of people who try heroin will get addicted ....Or you gonna look around you at how every single person you ever known who tried dope out of the 50 people you known to do it, eventually ended up shooting or sniffing that shit everyday?
I aint someone whose gona tell you use dope once and you addicted. I aint gonna say everyone who uses, will end up in rehab in jail or dead if they dont quit. I aint gonna say, once you a addict, you will always be a addict, so if you get clean, you can never go back and have fun once in a while as a chipper. Cuz with the right mindset, the right circumstances, and right determniation, anyone can really do watever they want with it. but the point is, most of us choose eventually to let go and just fall, because its so good compared to wats in our lives at the time...Or maybe for some ppl who aint got much stress, its just that since everything is so good for them, why not use that dope, since they got it all under control, and shits going good, so it aint gonna matter if they use since its all good, they can afford it, etc. and they maintiain that little secret life, doin wat they do, maybe they go on for a long time without ever getting into legal trouble or gettin found out as a addict...But they addicted all right...
It dont matter how you get there. Its different for all of us...But just about everybody that trys dope more than once or twice or three times and never does it again, will end up addicted in some way for some amount of time during their use. Theres lots of people who TRY, and then put it down. They know that any more use will be disaster, or they dont really like it that much. So they try it, and then they dont do it again. Thats successful recreational use. BUT, that AINT a chipper. BEcause they dotn CONTINUE it. Its all good for a while, and many people do chip...but do they SUCCESSFULLY chip, now that aint so commin.
And it DEFINATELY aint more common than users who become addicted.
It seems like you got a very naieve viewpoint on heroin use and addiction yo. I dont kno why you got these ideas, but u need a heavy dose of long term reality to re adjust that shit, becuz the things you talking aint at all matchin up with the reality that the majority of us has seen....And if you aint seen it yet...It just means you aint been in it long enough, cuz god knows you will eventually if you dont get out.
