Help me. Trying to put together a complete chart of the PEA family and its offspring...both the "2C,FLY, DOx-type names, the less proper 'chemical names' and eventually the IUPAC names. ANy help is so appreciated. Eventually I will have tables next to each with names and dosages. Any known analogues I am missing besides the BOx, beta-methyl, beta-methylene, etc analogues. How many are wrong?

1 = psi-2C/TMA-6
2 = 2C-x/TMA-2/DOx analogues
3 = mescaline analogues/TMA
4 = 4-substituted-2,5-dimethoxyphenylcyclopropylamines
5 = 2C-HEMIFLY/DOx-HEMIFLY/4-substituted-5-methoxy-benzofuranylethylamines
6 = dimethoxybenzocyclobutanes?
7 = 4-substituted-2,5-dimethoxyphenylcyclobutanamines
8 = hemidragonfly/?
5 =2C-HEMIDRAGONFLY/DOx-HEMIDRAGONFLY/4-substituted-5-methoxy-benzodihydrofuranylethylamines
9 = ?
10 = DRAGONFLY/?
11 = FLY/?
12 = ?
13 = 2C-G analogues/?

Yes, I realize I left out the MDA family, and as I said in my last statement....I realize I am leaving out some beta-substituted materials, as well as the HO-x series. But as for what is here, can anyone add, edit?

4-substituted-2,5-dimethoxyphenylcyclopropylamines... Well, you could do the dragonflys (and related) to that, I guess...
I would also be interested in the aminorex/4MAR analogs of these things. Something tells me that the ring substitution could be quite interesting. AR/4MAR are classed as stimulants so would trippy ones fall inside the legal definitions? It LOOKS like one thing but ACTS like another.

Not in the UK - the 1977 modification order (tryptamine & phenethylamines) are very specific as to which compounds are controlled drugs and ring substitutred aminorex/4-methylaminorex are outside the remit of the act ( :) )

just jumping in to tell you i like this idea, and you should try to completely put it togheter
srry i cant be of any more help

A grand idea.
how about also coming up with a less confusing coding system too??

will PM generic iupac names to you for all the classes I can think of.

Just a little bit of constructive (I hope!) criticism:

Where do you put your cap? What are your parameters? I am guessing if this is reduced to simply premutations of PEA, it could go on for quite a long time...

Though I do like your cataloguing mindset since shulgin seems to have slept on his third book :\

What I have listed is what I shall focus on for the moment. Obviously, few of them are actual "PEAs" but I think we all here know what I mean. Again, anything I have forgotten (beyond the MDA family and the beta-substituted members)?

3,4-dihydroxyphenethylamine is the pd point parent compound.

Amphetamine is its legal avatar/dopamine agoinist by presricption only for gifted children.

Put some newt or methyl or thought into and you get meth, which I love and don't have.

Dennis means Dionysiac.

Yeah MGS. Stop giving the narco-cowboys more stuff to put on their little shit-list... ;) You know they can't think this stuff up all by their little selvesies, and need chemical names spoon-fed to them whether they're inert or otherwise.

That is quite silly. Since 2000, these materials have been circulating for a mass market, yet (in the US) only three have been outlawed....all having been associated with death. Most of these materials have never been tasted, so there is no way they shall become outlawed. I see the " ;) " but regardless if there was any seriousness to your post....it is groundless.

These should be catalogued and there is no law that keeps me from doing so.

ok, got a silly question

am i allowed to ask some stupid questions in this thread, since i started learning about all those new compounds

I will disagree on one point only--it is quite possible that sometime in the not-to-distant future the DEA may schedule things that have no history of human ingestion because:

1. They suspect a chemical is psychoactive.
or
2. Its molecular structure "is substantially similar" to a psychoactive chemical.

As far as your intended compilation contributing to scheduling legislation the DEA may enact in the future, any such insinuations are indeed groundless. It was a joke that apparently fell flat. No need to call a lawyer. :)

No. These forums are for pedantry only.
