The google method works best.
Demonoid is best for knowing that there will be seeders and the file will download.
As for when I can't find ANYTHING at all I used www.captaincrawl.com
But it's not torrents, it's usually blogs with the album as a zip file. :D

I've always been kind of torn about the software pirating issue - on the one hand, the act of pirating software obviously doesn't directly cost software companies anything or harm them in any way. If you can't afford a piece of software, period, then you're only hurting yourself by refusing to take advantage of computer technology's ability to clone software using a small amount of energy (that you pay for in your electricity / internet bills).

However, once you have that temptation, it's easy to tell yourself that you can't afford a piece of software when you really CAN, but you just want to spend your money elsewhere. Software companies deserve to be supported just as much as businesses that produce tangible products.

Pirating music just seems ridiculous - if you can afford a computer and an internet connection, you can pay the fifteen bucks or whatever it costs to buy the album.

^ Aye, but there is SO much music that is simply unavailable IRL; especially the psychedelic variety. There's no way I can go down to my local record shop and buy recordings of live grateful dead shows from 1969, but I certainly can buy Britney's latest album. :|

That's just a simple example; there's so much more music that's even more obscure that is ONLY available for free on the internet.

And I'll admit; I'm one of those folks who will download a buy-able movie instead of buying it. The only time I buy movies or albums is christmas/birthday gifts and that's the only time I get them myself.

My other half has what I'd call a healthy attitude - if she likes the album, she'll go out & buy it - if she doesn't, the music just gets erased from the hard drive. Downloading beforehand basically acts as a means of ensuring she doesn't buy an album that turns out to be crap once she gets home & listens to it.

Which I believbe is an acceptable way of going about things

I've always been a poor (non-wealthy) thief. Even before the internet gave access to free music for everyone, I used to lend CD:s from the library and copy them on c-casettes. I could never afford to buy all the music I wanted to

I would like to have lots of money so I could do all kinds of stuff but then I'd have to do stuff for it. And I'm just too lazy, and in the end I'm doing just fine without money.

My philosophy is, the world is not how I want it to be, so I see no obligation to be as the world wants me to be....

take it as you will.

good night PD (except good morning for you swilow)

QFT :)

Even as a "music artist", I don't care if my own stuff is/was pirated- I don't expect to make any money off it anyhow, plus didgital media has a smaller footprint on the dying world we flitter on....

^Exactly :) Its just data anyway...

Awww it's more than just data. But I see what you mean. Unless you want to become a rich, famous, sell-out, (or close to it) you aren't going to make money directly off of your music.

Like tha guy said, I'd be flattered if someone was pirating my music. The fact that they want it enough to go to the trouble is ham-azing.

This whole recording of music dealie hasn't been around forever. Musicians used to have to play small gigs and work their way up from the bottom. Establish a fan base only in person. For those that are listening to it. Then came along a way to record, the recorded version of a song I see merely as a promotion object to show to people what the band or musician is capable of doing. From there on out the listener gets the choice of if they like it or not & then they perhaps will find a way to make it out to see them live. Because music is what they do for a living. The whole idea of recording it and sending it out to the masses and making money off of it seems a bit lazy in my opinion. And because of that fact I feel no shame in downloading any music I feel like. If I like them I will go out and see them and perhaps even purchase some merchandise from them. I also give bands drawings that I made for them after the show. I think that to them is more important than knowing I rushed out to Best Buy to buy their album.
The idea of making money off of recorded music was a novelty for a little while and now we have found a way around it. It didn't last for long and as it did last, and still lasts I don't agree with how they run it. It's back to the basics in a way for musicians. Which I think is better, you'll find more bands trying harder and pushing creativity :)

I ate 600mg of DXM, ive never dosed this high... Should be enough for a solid 3rd plateau dose...

Should be interesting...

Good morninja

My hamster has taken a habit of chewing my nose whenever I look at him closely... I don't know what to make of it. I guess he's just showing his affection.
