Not much, how are you? Getting into any fun lately?
Been real busy lately catching up on all my programming assignments got real behind since I was helping my mom out allot with her broken hip. Thankfully she is back home getting better.

Got my pain doc appointment tomorrow which means I'll get my drug test done with and be able to smoke again after a 5 week break. Got a 1/2 oz consisting of 2 different strains waiting for me when I get home. Been through so much hell lately and could really use a bit of bud.

Might plug some plug some 2c-b this weekend. Last two times Iv'e done 2c-b Iv'e plugged it and am not sure I can go back. The increased BA, the quick onset, and the overall effects are so much better.

That's amazing.

Repost to share awesome artwork

Watching this video gets me higher than any drug.

Will you never run out of amazing pictures, dondante (I think I'll start calling you Big D)? And from some quick searching, I assume you're talking about magnolia campbellii.

I wonder how does it feel to live in places like California

Great, thanks for asking. But right now it's cloudy and 14 C, we feel this is miserable wintry weather. Gonna be gettin' rain soon, which is good, we need it badly on account of the horrible drought the state's in:

Xorkoth;

you'll find someone way better and more deserving of your love.

You are doing the right thing by moving on.

I had to escape a 6 year relationship where the last 2 years were utter hellish. You can do it man, believe in yourself.

Your art is fucking amazing. I'm an artist too but more of a musician than visual artist (but I am creating a lot of digital art for sure).

Hope your moms getting better! B is so good plugged, check the threads we've discussed how perfect it is.

I think Xork will be okay, I really hope so, and am sending him those good vibes. From reading his reports and such though, he seems like a very mentally strong person. Plus those relationships that are posionious, while we sometimes really love the other person if their poisoning you, and not letting you be you, it's always best to get out! At first it will hurt but then like a wound time will heal it, and your body will be stronger without the infection(not to say anything mean about anyone or their SO's!).

I feel bad for that girl who's just trying to see if the other girl is okay then fights her, also you know the area is baddd when no one calls the police when something like that was happening.

I also have a PM appointment soon here's to hoping for the best!

Edit: Did CFR's just change his name or is he gone? If so I miss him, if not I'm really fucked up.....

there's a lot of musicians in pd social it seems

would be cool if we all made a group track some time. like somebody who is good with beats lays down a drum track, then somebody takes that and lays a chord progression down over it, somebody else takes that and lays down a sweet bass track, then somebody else adds lead/melody parts, etc.

would be a cool experiment. it would be interesting to see how it would turn out. it'd be like a musical sandwich where everybody adds in their own layer of toppings.

i vaguely remember talking to CatfishRivers about doing that a long time ago, but the idea never took off

Yes, Roger I agree. I actually have suggested that somewhere in this thread. I have done this with a couple of musicians and would be happy to assist. Once we got to the mixing stage, we would need to cross a few bridges (like how to mix when we all use different DAWS) but for simple tracking...it wouldn't matter, we can just keep a basic mix of backing tracks as a wav file, and each musician would load that backing track up and record their track alongside. Synching is easy to do with any DAW.

I am totally on board and would love to do this, who else is on board? Let's start the Bluelight Psychedelic Virtual Band.

OK, well let's do it! BEst place to start is deciding what kind of song/music...and do we want a tight rhythym section (thus the need to develop a drum track/click track first), or free form, or both?

We could just build a track around a typical blues structure...perhaps in A or E. :)

it might be more interesting if we kind of just let it happen instead of deciding on a genre at the outset. i think part of the fun is having to work with whatever gets passed to you, adding your piece to it, and then passing it on.

some structural elements are essential to agree upon though, i think. we should probably agree on a key and time signature and overall song length, for instance. i would prefer a tight rhythm section, just for ease of composition on my part, but if somebody wants to develop a less conventional rhythmic component, i would be down to work with whatever.

i think a click track would probably be a nice logical place to start

Totally agree, that's what I meant by 'free form.' I guess the only issue I see is how to get a bunch of musicians in separate places to come together with no idea from the beginning of where to start...which led me to suggest we have some agreed upon idea...but doing it free form will be what makes the track magical.

I think I suggested before that in theory musicians could all play together via camera, each recording their part all to be synched up later.

I'm down for whatever, I just love the idea of making music with some of my fellow BLers...I have no concern whatsoever about what form it takes, as long as we all have fun.

Great idea :). I would totally be up for this. I play guitar and drums but mainly program my own material. I would be happy to make some beats...

That sounds great :)

On another note... holy CRAP that was extreme last night, hands down the most extreme dissociative experience I've ever had, one of the most extreme states I've ever been in. The music didn't sound anything like it usually does, it was like I stuck between moments of sound, it felt like eternity, it actually flashed me back to an extreme DMT moment I had blacked out on years ago, where my consciousness was reduced to a singularity, which I didn't remember until this. I had all these recollections but it was something more basic and fundamental than human life... it felt more real and elementary to life than possibly any other state I've been in. Like it was the root process of consciousness or something. This was WAY more intense than anything I've ever come across on ketamine.

Far... out... mind blown. And then for hours afterwards I laid in bed semi-confused and unable to sleep.

I wish it was possible to convey that sort of state of mind in writing. Surely it's not possible but perhaps sometime I should try my best.

^Did you enjoy it? Everyone raves about MXE, but I didn't care for it much...then again I'm not a fan of ketamine by itself either. My favorite MXE experience was watching Black Swan on 20 mg. I once did an excessively high dose of MXE (like 150 mg total over the course of 6 hrs)...it was fucking awful.

Will you never run out of amazing pictures, dondante.

Found that one on the interwebs. ;)

Hey Xorkoth, Just wanted to say that i've been reading bluelight for a few years, and I've always found your posts helpful. I read through most of your long-ass post, how have you been managing your poppy problem? I wish nothing for the best for you, I hope things keep going well.

Thanks :) I have had a pretty intense ordeal managing my opiate problem. With the departure of my soon to be ex wife everything is easier for me to deal with, even more than I expected. It's still hard to deal with opiates, but I have just been exercising increasing amounts of self-control. My pattern with poppy tea is to do it once every 2 days, and the 2nd half of the 2nd day I have to deal with light withdrawal. Years back I did it every day and the withdrawal was horrendous so I managed to have the self-control to not get back to every day. So what I did was, I waited til the 3rd day once. The first time was the hardest. Then I waited 3 days again, and then again, and then I waited 4 days, and then again, and then 5 days. And each time I did either the same amount or a little less. Currently I'm on day 5 so I've got my brain telling me to go ahead and do it today... I'm gonna try to resist but I didn't get much sleep and I have a lot of work to do today. Which is a great example of rationalization :) Regardless of whether I do it today or not, I'm doing it so infrequently now that it only feels a little bad not to have it. In all honesty if I just resist today I will probably feel fine in a few days.

God the MXE last night was out of this world. I'm awfully glad I ate 1/2 to 2/3 of it instead of plugging it all, I can't imagine having a more intense experience than I did. It was one of those experiences where you expect to never come back from it, but in this case I was alright with that because I was stuck in an eternal moment of perfect comfort.

So yes Don, I enjoyed it :) Best dissociative experience I've ever had by far, first time I have understood what it is to really get all the way there.

That's awesome about the MXE! I gotta say, I'm looking foreward to playing around with it. When I have an incurable urge to do something, I either sleep it off, eat it off, or (and this one's rare for me) work out. If you're musical you could do that to distract yourself too. Just BS suggestions but opiate are fucking nasty

Does somebody want to suggest an IRC channel for us PD Virtual Band Members? We have a drummer (programer)/guitarist and I play bass and will strum chords on guitar, so yeah we should get a role call and then all agree upon a means for us to all speak in real time.
