I hope everything turns out all right healthwise entheo. I know how scary these sorta events can be.
So I picked up this Kahlil Gibran book for a buck, and it's really good stuff. Anybody read him?
And good news, I scored a few paintings for free, got an autumn forest scene, vase of white flowers (not sure the variety, could be one of several, the whole painting has a green on green tonality going on), and a small one of poppies. They're all pretty dirty, kinda nervous about attempting to clean them at all, but in any case, my room is gonna get classed up real soon.

Turkeys with a capital T!
Ooooh, so like the country. We struggle between pro-Western, secular democracy with some freedom issues, and a populist, quasi-disenfranchised, religious-verging-on-theocratic undercurrent. Makes sense. Or maybe you just meant that we make nice rugs and kebabs. I dunno.

My massage practice really has grown in the past 2 years so letting go of BL gave me more time to focus on building up my business
You have your own business? That sounds great! Self-employment is the best (or at least it attracts some delightful, colorful characters, from what I've seen).
edit: Adventures in the life of NKB: darn prong type corkscrew not working with plastic cork. The hammer, screwdriver, and pliers I brought to aid my quest to open up the bottle have likewise failed. Getting very frustrated, been at it for 20 minutes....haha, got the cork all the way inside the bottle, which is just as good as getting it out, aside from that explosion of fermented juices that hit everything but the ceiling. Time to get my 15%ABV drink on, (what is it with NorCal making such strong reds? This is more like Port or Sherry strength) it's a Zinfandel, btw, and it's odd to think that this was bottled when I was 10 years old, back at the turn of the century.
edit: P.S. Oh yeah, it's Advent, and you know that that means~ Time for me to be a poinsettia.
