I am basically resting and hanging out with my girl for Bicycle Day. However, Friday night I took a really epic high-dose 4-AcO-DET trip with my friend and had a truly great and difficult and sublime experience. We took 32-35mg of 4-AcO-DET, 12mg of 4-HO-MET, and 40mg of MXE each, all at once, dissolved in a glass of water. The trip was quite "hard"... During the peak we were listening to some amazing music, and I started to feel these weird nerve twinges in my teeth and I became convinced I had multiple cavities that had reached the roots. The trip then turned very much towards mortality and aging, and I started to become very nervous about taking care of myself so I don't turn into a miserable old person always in pain and sick. I really took something away from that though. My friend experienced a moment where he truly began to believe he was about to be abducted by aliens. Very, very intense trip. 4-AcO-DET has an edge but it's also truly a great psychedelic. I think I'm going to sample the various tryptamines in maybe once a month high-dose trips of the style I described. I've done it now with 4-AcO-DMT and 4-AcO-DET. Take a large dose of the main tryptamine, 12-15mg of 4-HO-MET for warmth and brightness, and a good amount of MXE, all together. Seems like an ideal way to experience the powerful end of the effects spectrum of tryptamines.
Then I put on Sanatan'a Abraxus album and it was the best possible thing... I was tripping with my bass player friend and we started jamming along with Santana and learned so much... we both felt like we had access to this vast amount of information about ourselves and our brains and we had moments of channeling some really incredible music. We kept jamming for many hours, to different things. I did this one solo through a jam that I wish so bad I had recorded, it was amazing. Then sometimes I'd lose it and could barely play.
Well, that was amazing... then the next day (yesterday) we took DOC and went on that intense river hike. This time the river was much higher and gushing so much faster, and it rained on us nearly the whole 4 hours we were out... it was much, much harder than before, it truly turned into a bit of a survival situation because it was also like 57 degrees, so when we'd stop to rest we'd get cold. All the rocks were slippery a bit from the rain and a lot of the rocks we would normally use were underwater because of the river height. Still, we made it all the way to the end and back and it was a wonderful adventure. Then I stayed and hung out at their place the rest of the night... we played music again with 2 guitars added and did another really amazing jam, which we also didn't record, but it felt SO GOOD. Then I took some etizolam to make sure I could sleep well, and accidentally took 4mg instead of 2mg because it was my friend's and I didn't realize it was mixed to 2mg/mL instead of 1mg/mL. So I slept HARD last night, slept til 2pm, woke up, had some sex with my girl, hung out, had sex again, accidentally fell asleep again until samadhi_smiles came over for dinner and had to go downstairs in a blanket to gather up our clothes.
So I did celebrate Bicycle Day weekend for sure, but today is definitely a day for no drugs and just relaxation. I'm still pretty drowsy, 4mg of etizolam knocks me the FUCK out. But after tonight I suspect I'll feel quite chipper.
