Haha, yeah I'd feel awkward there too. In my case we're a jam band. All the members are into psychedelics and the same kinds of music, and we are all obviously going to be really good friends (me and the bass player already are, and the guitar and drummer already are). It's just about a perfect situation. And hey, I was worried that the guitar player would go overboard with the 4-AcO-DMT for the show, but he took a very moderate amount and was perfectly fine. We covered Voodoo Child, it was crazy because we'd only played it once, the first time we practiced, and it was pretty shaky for the rest of us then besides the guitar player (who is the best Jimi player I have ever heard). But oh my god we KILLED it. I came up with a piano part on the fly and even had an awesome solo, and the guitar player... he shredded like I have never heard, he went NUTS, and so did the crowd. It was phenomenal. A really unique version. I really wish, again, that it had been recorded. We didn't manage to record the other time we did it either, something happened to stop the recording each time we've tried to record us playing Jimi. Oh yeah and we also covered The Wind Cries Mary last night. Started the second set with it.
