I think I'm gonna buy that now actually, apparently Amazon is doing free 1-day shipping now with prime too, or else they just are on this and the AC adaptor for it.

You know what's funny, I think the worst part about my relationship is that my girlfriend has a sort of fan phobia. The motion of any fan, standalone or ceiling, makes her nervous, she hates them being on, but neither of us have air conditioning. At my house it only gets too warm on the hottest days since it's up in elevation and in a forest, but at her house it gets stifling and we sit there and suffer because she hates fans. She'll turn it on for a bit to get fresh air in and then she turns it off, she can't sleep if there is a fan going on at all, so I'll have to sleep with sweat all over my body. She gets cold really easily too so it's always more of a problem for me although she sits there suffering in the heat too at her house sometimes. At my house I have a downstairs ceiling fan that I put on reverse so it pulls air from downstairs and pushes it upstairs, it creates a wind tunnel where a gentle breeze comes in through the screen doors and out the upper deck balcony door. I always have to turn it off when she comes over because she'll come inside and before long, even though it's moving at the slowest speed and silent, she starts eyeing it nervously and asks me to turn it off eventually after she can't stand it. I'll sometimes try to turn it on at night when we're upstairs in bed, when it's been a hot day to get the night air circulating. I can't even hear it at all when I'm right next to it, but she always can tell it's on even from the bed and she can't sleep unless I turn it off.

Isn't that a strange phobia? I don't think I've ever heard anyone else express such a thing to me.

All things considered if a fan phobia is the worst thing about my relationship, I'll take it. :)

Fuck yea! I'm so glad I checked in right now and was able to help out :D I haven't looked at the Social in like a week! Wooooo!

Also that is hilarious, Xorkoth. For someone as great as she sounds I'd put up with it too, but damn, sleeping hot is one of the worst sensations for me. Umppff... Maybe while I'm on a product recommendation roll, try and nab a Dyson bladeless used and for cheap?

I wonder if she'd hate that too? I do really hate sleeping hot, although I've gotten kind of used to it. She also doesn't like clothes, it's not really a phobia but it helps with the heat. =D

Huh... I have learned so much weird shit on the Internet. When my girl and I were post-trip when we took LSD, and waiting to get sleepy, we spent hours learning about slugs and snails. Check out the snail wiki page especially to learn some weird shit.

I think maybe the Koreans have gotten to her with their anti-fan propaganda... :sus:

Hmm now I am checking the snail and slug wiki pages and I swear I wasn't just tripping, there was far more information before, it was like reading a biology textbook. That is also weird.

There is this little yappy dog that lives down the street from me... all fucking day long this thing is constantly yapping.

YAP!

YAP YAP!

YAP YAP YAP!

YAP!
YAP!

YAP YAP!

For fuck's sake, shut up! All morning and afternoon, every day. 8(

My canine neighbour works himself up into this bizarre bark-howl hybrid quite often. Sounds like a really loud and unusual chicken. In terms of onomatopeaia its kinda "arooo-gulp-Grrr". Repeatedly. Not sure what he's trying to communicate but he's very insistent.

But my cat just makes pretty little sweet questioning meows. :) I sometimes hear her late at night wandering the house and talking to herself. She's my little furry thing.

:)

My boy cat who is my familiar (he's incredibly attached to me) is extremely vocal, he has so many different ways of expressing himself. He's very loud, he has like 4 different purrs and he talks all the time when he's trying to be social, which pretty much when he's not sleeping.

My girl cat has quiet, delicate little meows, she's much more subtle.

I miss the talkative cat that used to live with my girlfriend, it was her roommate's. I used to semi-seriously joke that I would catnap him someday. He'd meow at me when I came in the door, when he was hungry, when I meowed at him, when I had food in my lap, when I was ignoring him, just randomly sometimes even. Always game to sit in a lap and purr. I miss him dearly... I sometimes think I could never love another cat quite the same.

Odysseus, I miss thee <3

Yeah my boy cat is my baby, he is 12 years old, and I've realized that there will never be another cat relationship quite like this one. He just loves me so much, and vice versa, sometimes when he's sleeping with his face pressing against my cheek I get overwhelmed and it makes me tear up. Whenever the day (long, long from now, yes) comes when he is no longer on this earth, it's going to be devastating for me.

I can't believe I'm going to have a kitten in about 6 weeks! My friend's kitty had a litter a couple weeks ago- 6 kitten kabootles! Boots'n'cats alll day.

boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots 'n cats 'n boots...

Wow great jam. We had 3 amps in the room with the drums and me and my guitarist have our amps outside the room, so even through the headphones it sounded crazy, super muddy. But the recording sounds awesome. Hopefully I'll get a chance to post it sometime. So refreshing, it's been a while since I played with other people. :) On Sunday there is a tentatively planned tryptamine jam night too. Where we take a combo of tryptamines and then... jam. For like 6 hours.

Stoobnstac.

I can't believe I'm going to have a kitten in about 6 weeks!

Congratulations :D

Have you guys ever seen a kangaroo get born? Its amazing, unless what I saw was a person wearing a kangaroo suit. Which would have been even more amazing cos this human gave birth to a kangaroo.

This track is so lovely. I was just playing it via the computer, then thought I'd youtube it to link here and then I realised I was playing the same song twice at the same time. Hmm. :D

Just saw this and thought of here. =D

Haha that's amazing! =D

Pretty full weekend for me ahead... tomorrow morning I'm meeting up with a BLer and going on a hike, then it's off to a mermaid festival downtown in the little town my girl lives in, everyone dresses like a mermaid, that's all I know about it. Also there's a parade. Then Sunday is the tryptamine jam.

Also my birthday is Wednesday. Crept up on me. 34, here I come...

Yeah big weekend here too! Xork we will both be in the 34 club for exactly 1 month before I head to my next level up.

So, as part of my 'Down with Duality, Up with Trinity' ethos, I have a new peace sign that is like the traditional hand gesture, but it includes the thumb, and each digit is at the same roughly 30 degrees angled from each other. Looks and feels like something powerful. (Its also the Blue Avian greeting of peace, for what it's worth)
I am no longer connecting duality to peace, only conflict and division. The trinity adds a ground to the positive and negative...

Is this a topic worth exploring in the P&S forum?

I've developed a crush on a girl at work, fuck me... literally 8)

I had mostly ignored her beauty until last Friday when she came up to me when I was out at lunch and asked to sit with me. We had non-stop conversation, no awkward silences. She didn't look at her phone the whole time. She laughed at all my jokes even though I didn't laugh as much. Her excuse to sit with me was clearly off the top of her head. She has given every sign of attraction that I know of in women, even mentioning in passing that she had broken up with her boyfriend a few weeks back.

Now that I think she wants me, I can't stop thinking of her. And I choked today when I saw her, barely muscled out a 'hey'... I want to ask her out for a drink or some coffee or something non-assuming like that but, I'm fearful of asking girls out in front of other people so no opportunity has presented itself... Ugh.

Yes, I know I have a wonderful loving girlfriend. I've never had a girl seemingly come-onto me before though, and I darn well want to find out if she's into me or if I'm misinterpreting her smoke signals :sus:

it's pretty likely that she is into you... if you love your girlfriend and you don't have an open relationship, stay away. you seem to be attracted to this girl, and you know, people do things they regret afterwards, especially regarding sex and romance. i never cheated, but twice i was in the situation of being the one a girl cheated with. somebody will always get hurt in such situations.

I had a nice day, mother had birthday and my sister an I made a super dank dinner. miso soup, maki, steamed dumplings, and also a dessert. damn I love cooking. now smoking bowls and chilling. it's still hot in my appartement at almost midnight. fucking top floor

^Curious, what is considered "hot" in Austria?

edit: its a really powerful thing as a man knowing a pretty lady is into you. It can rob one of better instincts, but I see no problem with a bit of flirting and that nice ego boost. Just don't let it go further c_g. :)

I cheated on my first g/f, we were together from age 17-21. I was such a prick really. I 'loved' her but I guess horniness and that intoxicating feeling of female interest. The last person I cheated with has been Miss Swilow for 13 years now so 'it was meant to be' which is how I justify that douchebaggery. :D
