Man, electric shavers fuck me up. The last I was at my parents' house for the holidays, I forgot my razor and I used my dad's electric one, and somehow it gave me a rash from the electric blades skimming my skin the whole time. But I couldn't tell until afterwards when my entire face was burning and red. 8o

I much, much prefer a real razor. Way easier for me. But then, I'm used to it. :)

Whenever the topic of shaving comes up, I'm reminded of my dad telling me about when he was in boot camp during the Vietnam war, they were given 30 seconds to shave their face with a disposable razor and the only way you could do it in time was to not use cream and scrape yourself to bits. Ouch! 8o

Shaving is a strange activity, TBH. I shave as little as possible, personally. :D But when I do, I always use a sharp new blade and plenty of lather. :)

I enjoy being scruffy, though-- although it makes me look older than I actually am. I always find it hilarious how I never have to show ID to buy beer when I don't shave, but being clean shaven will result in being carded every time. :D

if i don't shave, i end up looking like some 15 year old trying to grow his first beard. Unshaven i get carded for buying cigars, shaven i don't.

I use a real razor whenever I let it go too long and can't use the electric because it'll just rip everything out. I also use it when I actually want a nice shave for something.

Haha, back home I never ever get carded, actually since I turned 19 back home I've only been carded maybe 10% of the time and nowadays it just doesn't happen. I think they can just tell by your facial features and the base stubble that you're obviously not a teenager anymore.

BTW; shaving the hair above your temples makes you look older too. ;)

In the wikipedia article on balding I read about how in evolutionary terms baldness is seen as a trait of knowledge and wisedom. :)

Yeah, that's right, I'm wiser than anyone else my age, bitch! ;) :D

Actually, the funniest thing is happening though, since I've buzzed my head my hairline above my temples is thickening and coming back in, weird.

Yeah, exercise is good. :) I should do it today. I always feel good when I do but usually I just don't, for whatever reason.

Hey dude! :) I was just starting to wonder why I hadn't seen you online for quite some time. We should hang out really soon, before it gets too cold! Beautiful weather recently though huh? I looked at the 10-day forecast and today it's supposed to rain but every other day in it was in the 60s and sunny. <3

whats your work schedule like? We could go for a hike if the rain breaks some afternoon...I am usually free (work like 9 hours a week).

I like being scruffy too I think it adds a certain rough charm to my demeanour...however Mrs. Munefusa will not allow many kisses when I am scruffy :(

I like being scruffy too, and I usually wait like 4 or 5 days between shaving and it gets pretty good stubble (finally now that I'm 27 anyway). But by the 4th or 5th day it's gotten to a between-length, longer than stubble but not very long, and it itches a lot. Then if I wait like another 4 or 5 days, it gets soft. :) But I prefer myself with stubble, not an actual beard.

Well I don't think I could do a hike in the middle of work even though I usually have a lot of free time, just because I need to be available on a moment's notice. But weekends are good, and evenings. :)

you can do some things to slow the progression of MPB. Nizoral shampoo and DHT inhibitors such as finestrade (.25mg per day).

Personally I am looking forward to going bald. I think it looks badass. I'm gonna shave my head close once I start to go bald (not skinhead shave but leave some stubble). Rock it the fuck out.

edit - xorkoth, OK lets look for a weekend day to go out and hang out somewhere nice before it gets toooo cold. Great thing about North Carolina is that there will always be days where its warm even in jan/feb (unless its last winter hahahah)_.

haha whenever I'm high in a discussion class, I always say the dumbest shit. :D

I tend to be the "talk first, think later" type, for sure.

Hahaha we were doing an experiment/survey today. Split the class by gender and observed both genders for 15 minutes and wrote down our findings. Very surreal atmosphere, everyone examining each other. And the findings about both genders for me were really cool, I realized how rarely I really look at people just for the sake of observation. Good stuff. I spoke up once and another dude in the class immediately disagreed hahaha. It was all lulz.

In my family, if I took after my mom's side for hair (I take after her side for most stuff) then I would have started going bald at like 22. But my hairline and hair look exactly like my dad's side, and they all have thick, luxurious hair like me until death... my grandpa was 93 when he died and he still had plenty of (white/gray) hair. :) I'm 27 and I don't have a hint of hair loss... in fact, my hair has better body and a really nice waviness that turns into really loose curls when it gets long, and is better than when I was younger. :) Whew! I don't think baldness would suit me.

My little brother is starting to get a slightly receding hairline (he's 19), and he's freaked out about going bald. Which he might, but hopefully he is spared. :)

Since I buzzed my head a few days I go I must say I do look pretty badass. I went with a 1/2" clipper guard this time. It's so much easier to take care of than a full head of hair and doesn't make me look like I'm trying to cover something up in the front. ;)

That's about when it started for me, it accelerated in my early 20s.

Tell him to use some zinc containing dandruff shampoo and maybe hydrocortisone cream on the hairline if he's concerned about it.

I've started doing that just so I can maybe prolong my youth look if I decide to regrow my hair.

^I use teh dandruff shampoo everyday. Otherwise my scalp like disconnects from my head, LOL. It's pretty uncomfortable. I use zinc shampoo on weekdays and this other shampoo that contains selenium sulfide (sulphide, if you happen to be british LOL) usually on weekends, but it makes my hair smell like rotten eggs all day. Ewww.

i need
moar ketamine
i rike ketamine, a lot
i HATED dxm but id like dxm if it was like ketamine
ket is so strangely fun
shit puts you way out thereman

I shave in several places. Not my face, of course ;)

I agree Roger, I love sobriety! And honestly, I think it's my drug use that lead me to it. I just appreciate the world, all the little details, "simple things" (the sun is shining, the leaves are colorful, so on). Though there are moments made for being not-sober. :)

Time to drag my ass to the gym... but at least it makes my ass look nice...

And thanks for that link, Socks ;) I think I might get Love Serve Remember on cassette... it's either that or vinyl, and though vinyl is nice and all, it's just um... not portable enough for awesome things. Though I could record the vinyl, if I figured out how... mmm...

Love. <3
