hey SKL(THOUNAMESHALLNOTBENAMED) and alex!!!!!! I got a little buzzed accidentally on homemade apple juice kefir! :D

Sounds yummy! Did you just add kefir grains to apple juice? I didn't realize one could use non-dairy sources for kefir--that opens up quite a few possibilities for me. :D

You can do anything you want to make kefir. It pretty much just needs sugar to feed the bacteria. We aren't reacting too well to the apple juice kefir so we are going to try making it with only sugar water next.

That is a cool faerie pic!!!!!

in Russian culture kefir refers to a yogurt drink.
I remember my mom making me drink it as a kid, without any of the flavors that they have these days (i actually love the plain flavor these days though).
It was about 10 years ago, maybe less, that i started to see it appear in supermarkets.
I definately prefer it to yogurt.
IMO its like a cross breed of yogurt and smoothie. nom nom

kefir that gives a buzz sounds nice.
No tummy issues with it though?

Kefir yogurt drinks are some of the best things you can ingest, they're oozing with all sorts of beneficial bacterias -- best pro-biotic in the world. :)

Aww, you got rid of your original pic. That's probably for the best, but still, aww. Yeah, this conversation should be in here. To be honest, I'm so accustomed to Social being at the top of the page that when I saw the conversation in Psychedelic Ideas Inaction I just assumed I was in social..

So I'm thinking I should write a novel -- if all goes as planned, it should end up about as thick and pointless as Atlas Shrugged.

The story of how The Indigos, with the help of two hilarious time-traveling Mayan shamans, save the planet from a reptilian takeover in 2012.

I will be sure to include plenty of preposterous interpretations of quantum mechanics for everyone's enjoyment. Many worlds, mannnnn..

Ok fine Im posting it lol

This admittedly is in poor taste:

And it might offend you if you are an INDIGO CHILD

so the oligarchial argument that "the planet is overpopulated" is just false.
the resources are spread too thin because it is badly managed.

O.K., well, you admit that we DO have a problem. There are two solutions to the problem -- population reduction, and better resource management. The former is much more easily achievable than the latter. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try to manage our resources more efficiently, but we also shouldn't ignore the fact that we DO have a poverty problem, and that we can start by reproducing less.

Also, just my hunch, it'll probably take a worldwide cultural revolution to eliminate poverty, simply because, once we become more effective at resource management, the human drive for reproduction simply pushes the population back up juuuust below the breaking point once again. Look at the advent of industrial nitrogen fertilizer production in the early 20th century -- we suddenly became WAY better at farming, and what happened? Instead of maintaining a steady population size, but simply increasing the quality of life of said population, the population exploded, and the Q.O.L. was maintained.

I'm not trying to force my own opinions down your throat, by any means. Definitely respect your pro-life position. Just throwing out some food for thought. :)

"Down through the centuries the notion that life is rounded in a dream
has been a pervasive theme of philosophers and poets.
So doesn't it make sense that death, too, would be wrapped in dream?
That after death, your conscious life would continue,
in what might be called a dream body?
It would be the same dream body you experience in your everyday dream life,
except that in the post-mortal state - you could never again wake up.
Never again return to your physical body."

Are you a Flashbulb fan, by any chance?

We definitely don't use nuclear weapons often enough. As long as one doesn't kill me or those I know.
