I had a vivid dream last night about running around with this guy who had DMT crystals. We kept trying to find a place to smoke it and it kept being too crazy (i kept on running into people I knew, we kept traveling, etc). We went through all sorts of environments in this vast cityscape. What a wacky dream. I think it was a sign i should finally try DMT sometime soon.

Nooooo, I was changing the style of my beard and I messed it up, so I just trimmed the whole thing off. I look weird clean shaven, I mean I know I only started messin' with beard and moustaches about 6 months ago, but still.

Also, this artichoke tea is delicious. Vietnam has such an amazing food culture, you have the indigenous/SE Asian style with extra influences from China and France. Talk about badass.

My favorite act? Hmmm...I think it's a tie between Freq Nasty, High Contrast, Leftfield, The Chemical Brothers, and Erykah Badu. All amazing performances that made me feel musically and spiritually lifted after each was done performing.

I didnt see Animal Collective, as they conflicted with my dinner/Andy C, but ive seen AC twice already (and to be honest, I wasnt impressed either time I saw them).

Freq Nasty always kills it, its insane. I havent seen a single Freq Nasty set where I didnt come away going "holyshit dude, holyshit".

and Ha, I feel you man, that was me Sunday of 2010. Two drops of very potent liquid had me completely overwhelmed for most of the day. Thankfully Random Rab saved me during sunset, and I was able to enjoy my fry/festival experience by the time that the Orbital ---> Thom Yorke ---> Plastikman ---> MiM0SA block came on.

For a good while I was stuck thinking "shit, if this gets any more intense I could become one of 'those guys'".

Its a definite learning experience though, and now you know your limits when it comes to large crowds/festivals!

And yes, definitely a learning experience...L is too much for a large event like that. I vividly remember having a mild freak out in the middle of the Afrojack set. It could have been much worse but thank Science it wasn't!
I seem to remember you also saying that MDMA tends to make it more of a drug experience than an event experience, and I have to say, I disagree, I felt like it was absolutely perfect But everyone's different, haha.

You looked like you were having fun at Afrojack, ha, glad nothing went (too) awry though.

Its quite possible that my views on the matter have definitely be affected by the groups I go on these adventures with. The last time I rolled at Coachella was 2009, and the group I was with wasnt the best. I just remember missing a lot of great music because I spent a lot of time running around and looking at the cube (which hopefully makes a return next year) with my friends instead of watching the sets I planned on watching. Same thing happened at EDC 2009.

Maybe i'll roll at LIB, we'll see if that makes a difference. I'll also probably go lower on doses (partially due to my insanely low tolerance now due to not rolling for so long, and to see if thats also what played a role in my views as at both coachella '09 and EDC '09 I took very high doses of MDMA).

But yes, everyone is indeed different
