not really information, just my opinion.

i would agree that not many people could hear the difference between a cd and a 320 kbps mp3 from the same cd (and i definitely can't), but the same album on cd and vinyl is a different story. most albums i have on vinyl i also have mp3s or a cd of and the difference is usually quite clear. there are definitely other factors like mixing and mastering and whatnot, but 99% of the time vinyl sounds a lot better to me, and i'm definitely no audiophile

i hadn't heard of the LPF effect before, so maybe that is a lot of it. i would still say i can hear a clear difference between CDs and higher definition digital recordings though, so i don't think that's the only factor

but i would agree that debating about quality is silly and with roger that music is art so it is subjective and what matters most is what sounds best to you, so hopefully i'm not starting an argument here. just think sound is interesting and like to talk about it

I am most likely going to plug it; need to some oral syringes. I am still kinda nervous about picking them up at my local pharmacy since I get all my scripts there even though they are not needles.

Is there only one pharmacy in convenient distance from your place? Unless you live in a rural area or something I can't see how going on over to a different one is a problem.

How's Uni/Boston going, TAC? What's the weather like?

This is making me think about the new Crystal Castles record which I am very excited for, partly because Ethan said that they used no computers recording it, which is pretty crazy for electronic music these days. Instead of throwing it into itunes the second it leaks I'm gonna be disciplined and go buy it on wax the day it comes out so I can really hear it right the first time :)

Wow, that sounds really interesting. In fact, when the topic of analog vs. digital sound came up, it made me think about electronic music, and how it relies so heavily on digital audio. I thought, "wouldn't it be amazing if a modern electronic artist made a purely analog production?" And here it is! I only wish I had a way of playing records here.

It's going well, although I actually am finding it difficult to put as much time into my studies as I would like. There's only so much I can do before I become exhausted and have to take a break, but it doesn't feel like I'm progressing as fast as I'd like to.

Over the past week or so the weather has officially become Chilly, necessitating warm clothing.

How are things in SoCal? :) I miss California, and think about it a lot. Especially my favorite little wilderness reserve.

I fucking love 2c-b! Amazing chemical and it should be much more popular in my opinion. Not a big fan of the other 2cs but this one is much better. Ended up eating a load last week for the first time (must've been 40-50mg) and even though I had no clue what was happening still had a great time out partying. Did about 30mg last night and the night before and was glad to see tolerance isn't too bad with the stuff either. Might give it a miss next weekend though as I don't want to end up ruining it on myself...out of doses anyway though.

Love the comeup and energy I get off the stuff, think it would be amazing for a festival, gonah have to try it with some md soon. Had a few lines of coke last night with it (can't comment on quality but it worked) and they both went well together. Almost felt like I had too much energy at certain points though.

It really makes you appreciate the vision of the early electronic dudes like Kraftwerk. I wish I could get more into old analog gear but it gets expensive pretty fast (another advantage to digital sound).

If you have some extra cash sometime (I know, extra cash and college are mutually exclusive) you should definitely get a turntable, you can get a decent one for not too much. Record collecting is a fun hobby but it also gets expensive. Part of the fun is trying to find good deals though.

Agreed. I love 2c-b but all the other 2c's I've tried just left me feeling kind of meh.

I'm guessing it's less popular than it should be only because of legality issues. I really want to try 2C-B, and hope I come across some soon.

Just because Kraftwerk was forced to work without the convenience of computer technology, you mean?

This is pretty typical, applecore. I experienced the same thing when I first got to college, its just a different level where a lot more is expected of you (I feel like every professor acts like their class is the only one you're taking, and you have 4 or 5 at a time like that). But just treat it like a marathon, rather than a sprint, and you'll do fine.

Trying 2ci NBOME Thursday.

So.... excite.

Haven't had a phenethylamine psych in like 6 months... 2c-P. Was dissapointed as fuck until I threw MXE in the mix.

MXE - saving you from boring unspiritual psychedelics since 2010!

^ Be careful about mixing MXE with the NBOMes, they don't seem to mix well with anything remotely stimulating, and being a DRI that throws MXE out.

That said you should love 25I, especially the visuals, they're spectacular. The headspace is conductive to some really interesting thought too, and it's not unlike LSD, but with LSD the body feel is a lot more benign, and the headspace a tad deeper - though the visuals are more earthy and less "flashy" like 25I.

I have a feeling my next trip is going to be rather spectacular.

Had a busy few weeks, finally getting some time to relax with some weed though :)

no plans to add dissociatives to NBOMES.

I just mentioned my experience in needing MXE to curb 2c-p into something worthwhile. It was broing and had no spirit otherwise.

Thanks for the advice.

Weather in NY is psychedelic, on the island of course. Perfect trip weather, autumn. Leave crispen of cere. ON the most odious months of the year...

2C-P has as much depth as you want it to have. its not the type of psychedelic that forces you into the mystical. gotta work with it a bit. it is perhaps my favorite psychedelic tho.

i've talked to angels on it.

I have mixed mxe with 2c-e several times and always had great trips.

Ketamine+2c-b is also nice especialy when some hits of dmt are added into the mix. I really want to try and combine 2c-b+k+dmt again. I had such a magical experience doing it in my back yard under the moon and stars.

Still haven't touched my 2c-p I got a while back; I just haven't haven't been in the mood for a ~20 hour trip lately. Thinking of maybe doing a low dose this week. Also planning to do some 4-aco-det and maybe some 4-ho-det real soon.
