Hmm...

Sniffed ~5mg of 4-AcO-DPT about half an hour ago, and feel very warm, fuzzy, and absolutely serene. Like a perfectly calm lake, so still and flat that you could look at your reflection in the water like a mirror.

Excited to get a bit deeper into this substance later. It is an amazingly horrible tasting chemical, though, I must admit. The tiniest fleck that I could possibly transport from the bag to my upper gum (for safely testing the batch) left a bitter taste in my mouth that was strong enough to make me wince. You can even taste the drip from insufflating this stuff.

I took a low dose of ethylone this afternoon, 35 mg (ALWAYS START LOW WITH A NEW SUBSTANCE, ESPECIALLY A RC). A few days ago I did an "allergy test" of a few mg with no effects. An hour after taking the 35 I felt good, light, awake and strong, similar to how I feel from MDMA. Not pushy or stimulating. Smoked a bowl and felt pretty good. Very mild visuals from the combo, and some anxiety, but I think that was mostly from the weed (cannabis can give me anxiety sometimes). i think this substance may be good in larger doses, next time i will try 70-100mg. I have not tried methylone so I won't be able to make comparisons.

I'm not looking for a "oh man I'm rolling balls!" experience, I want something that just feels good and nice and leads to a good time, and I don't want the negative physical effects from stimulation.

I was also recovering from a hangover and had also taken a gram of phenibut, dunno how those affected the experience.

keep with the updates dr, ethylone interests me, mainly cause its similar to MDE, and i wanna try MDE bad

LOL the speed driver, i can relate to that, i was doin 100 down the highway on speed and woulda gone faster but car wouldnt go faster.

Yea it's not necessarily the most unbiased doc in that it kinda slants their conclusions to make things seem worse than they are, but still very interesting and shows a lot of truth

A thought occurred to me earlier, I think a lot of my posts in our subforum are aimed at countering the posts that are too hippieish (to phrase that more usefully, people who take the psychedelic experience too seriously. Ya'know, the type who will go on about how sober reality is just a bunch of illusions created by the brain/thought/sensory data while completely believing in the reality presented to them by psychedelicized brain/thought/sensory data). My intention is to inspire thought, discourage absolute belief in unconfirmable things, question everything Socrate style. However I might not come off that way, do I ever seem like I'm a big humbug or bad-vibing on people?

Happy New Year PD!

Just had a wonderful NYE with the girlfriend.... had my hirst candy flip, though truth be told, the mdma dose was fairly small, but i could still feel it... what a blast it was... ill just gather up the patience and write a trip report, if there ever was an experience worth sharing, this is it... (added it here for those interested: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/...E-of-Love-and-passion?p=10216131#post10216131 )

anyway, i hope yall have had a nice time too.

yucatan, i heard ethylone was quite mild and short lasting, a bit of a dissapointment for the people enjoying methylone, but again, there are situations and situations, i for instance, love mdai, though a lot of people find it quite useless. but give me 150 mdai and a couple of friends, a beer, good music and ill be dancing and chilling the night away....

adrian, i watched that show a couple of weeks ago on the tv, and didnt find it all that unbiased. i mean, those are quite heavy drugs they are using, and the people are literally ddicted to them... though i dont think they would ever allow a documentary about casual drug use on tv...

Yea for the most part it was good, I just feel like they would often make conclusions that aren't necessarily supported. Like saying the stoner was calm in the smoke-house because he couldn't recall previous emergencies and therefore didn't know how to react. That seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Maybe he was just stoned and also realized this is a set up scenario and therefore went about his business.

And yea it is addicts that they are looking at so that likely effects things.

^The stoner seemed like a douchebag. Giving a bad name to smokers everywhere.

nah dig you're good

I never get that impression, Never. PD needs mods with sober looks on the world anyway. As a good friend put it: psychedelics do make you temporarily more stupid than when sober, but perhaps there is some intrinsic value in a plethora of perspectives, even if they are not necessarily better.

never knows best said:
question everything
inspire thought

this sounds a good way to moderate

as for that documentary i only watched the first five minutes and lost interest; i got an initial impression that they are 'desperately seeking black and white facts' so to speak

i'd like to try MDE, MDMA can be slightly embarrassing ! it's interesting that the pushy nature of MDMA is the one that has become [far] more popular. drug use trends are interesting, it's like different ones go in and out of fashion or something, or maybe different cultures' brain chemicals prefer different kinds of alterations of said brain chemicals or taboo behaviors...

Never, I doubt you come across like that

Kingme, Yeah, i know ethylone will be mild and short acting. Thats actually what I am looking for. I want a drug I can take when I go out to a bar/club on a weeknight with my wife and have a good time but come down enough to be able to drive home and get a good nights sleep. I also just want a mild high, not an obviously rolling balls high. You know, the kind of hig that makes you smile and say "ahhhhh" while still being able to fully function.

Neither man, I like your posts a lot. Always well thought out and express your view succintly. Thats one thing that bothers me, is the huge quantity of words that people can use to express something quite simple. I blame my lack of education for that though...;) But question everything is a good idea. I like the fact that there is a bit more discussion these days in PD beyond simply the effects of drugs, discussions about the implications of these effects. Its (for me at least) the part I like about PD the most, and having a mod engaging encourages more people to do so...

:)

I actually felt that PD got a real blast of energy when you (Never) and JesusG became mods...Its often seems to happen, new mods bring a fresh enthusiasm to the place and this one has been a good 'un*

*I like how people apostophise 'un as if its an abbreviation of a real word.

^ Agreed. :)

Never, it's very clear to me that "bad-vibing on people" is absolutely, in no way, what you're doing here. :D

Sometimes, the phrasing of a particular sentence, or even an entire post, can throw people off, just because these miscommunications are impossible for anyone to avoid, especially over the internet. But, I think, over many posts, one's personality and general intentions become very difficult to mistake.

I just had a one of the most rewarding trips I've had in a good long time on 20mg 4-AcO-DPT. Can't wait to write a report! :)
