PCP Capital of the World?

Dunno about THE WORLD. But in the US, I'd definitely say LA/South central area. My friend who lives around there said something I thought was really funny: "Remember it don't rain much here, but everyone's always wet." Haha.
 
Gotta agree with IVXLCDM on this one, South Central LA for sure. I can name like 4-5 spots off the top of my head that is selling sherm sticks.
 
I know that the DEA says that South Central/Compton is where most of it is made and thats probably true. DC had a big scene in the 80s and Houston has been mentioned in the media. But my overall best pick for title of "PCP Capital of the World" , in my opinion, is San Jose. This is based current and historic trends in the local scene.
 
Back in the 80s, DC (like someone above said). Also, back in the 80's, any really 3rd world dead end city. Bizarre little ghettos/projects out in the middle of no where. Also, certain parts of certain cities. Usually the scariest most AIDS ridden, most bizarre part of the worst neighborhood. Like in Baltimore, it was Upton. Camden NJ (mentioned), Trenton as well as Edison and Newark. You'd see old wimn dying of AIDS stoned out of their minds on PCP walking about in daisy chains like zombies. Very scary sight, and horrid memories.
 
it def isnt too popular but it is actually fairly common amongst the hispanics in TX, def not sayin anywhere in TX is the capitol of the world or US or anything, but just to rebuttle a previous post, a good amount of my mexican friends list PCP when i ask em wat they can get, never done it personally but have had a friend who got green, unknowing that it was laced with it once.( dude had a freak out, when ever he tells me the story i think of smokie on Friday) so yea is def around TX in the right circles but if i had to guess i'd say South central? to answer the threads question, but i really dont know much about PCP so maybe i shouldt of replied to the thread but i guess i just ment to say i've been offered it on multiple occasions

it isnt actually as common as you think. PCP smells like straight up sewage and you'd immediatly know if you came across it. Its very possible that he just had some "ghetto weed" which made him trip out in a bad way.
 
well i cant vouche for exactly what was on his weed but he seriously freaked out his mother works with my mother and told her about it, he definately got some kinda fucked up weed and had a crazy experience. the way he and his mom tell the story she was so worried they took him to the hospital and he was beein rough with the staff and ended up gettin sedated and it is kinda a long story.


i guess it is possible that he maybe did some other drug and laced weed was just his story for his mom and at the ER but i have talked to him since and he still believes it was PCP (not sayin he is correct or not) but yea he def still sticks to that story but to be honest when this happened was when i started to loose contact with him and have only seen/spoken with him on a few occasions since so i dunno maybe he lied maybe he didnt but he def tripped out one night and he attributed it to laced weed. However even if it was the weed no one could really know what was on it but thats his story and i thought it was kinda crazy and somewhat relevant as to PCP bein in the area but since it might notta been i guess not

but my mexican friends def have/ can get wet
 
In Chicago for a while, you could buy lollipops on street corners that contained cannabis and PCP.
 
Also, phencyclidine has a distinctly metalic taste when smoked.

There are several reasons why I chose San Jose.

1.) Historical: Use became really widespread in the 70s ( which it did everywhere else too.) Use continued when it slowed down elsewhere through the mid-late 80s.

2.) In contrast to other cities where PCP was a islolated to certain ethnic groups, in San Jose PCP crossed ethnic lines. Slang names for PCP are KJ (among white users), blast (among blacks), and lenios or lenos with a ~ over the n (among hispanic enthusiasts.) Now, as then, PCP is used primarily by hispanics but the cultural chiasm isn't as deep as in other places.

Whats interesting is that San Jose in the 80s when KJ use was high had the highest per capita income of any city in the US (which migh still be the case.) At that time 80% of the microchips in the world were produced in the Silicon Valley which is basically San Jose and its suburbs. The east side is were the largest scene was concentrated. And there was an open air scene at Montery Rd and Senter which was nicknamed KJ corner. My friend used to describe the PCP high as going into cyberspace. Its ironic that the drug is so big in the city that played such a large role in the development of the internet as we know it.

4.)Use was common among my friends growing up (who were middle to upper middle class kids.) What suprised me is how little was around when I moved to San Diego. Also the drug was very much in the news through the 80s and early 90s and I would hear about PCP lab bust in the area specifically. Turns out that the area has a small cottage PCP making industry that persists to this day because you hear of busts periodically.

5.) When I moved back to the Silicon Valley late 90s- 2004 in NA you would encounter people that had been strung out on the drug. Hadn't seen that in other areas including LA on even close to the same scale. And from the meetings I learned that a healthy scene for lenios persisted.

6.) Interesting fact for people that hate the drug war. Joseph McNamara was police chief of San Jose from 1976-1990 (I think). He was a very vocal opponent
of the drug war at a time when being against drug prohibition wasn't fashionable, especially by a police chief. Police tolerance decreased in the late 90s but I had cops search me, find buds and not only did they not ticket me they gave them back, all before medical MJ. Rather than the city plunging into chaos and other domesday scenarios that drug warriors would predict, San Jose was found to be the safest city during this time period according to FBI statistics. McNamara now is a professor @ Stanford and still highly critical of the drug war. One study that he conducted found that a majority of police chiefs surveyed felt that drug prohibition was a failure.

that makes it a lot tho? Im jus wonderin. IDK wat its like out there but shit here runs kind of differnt, there is def. spots that is known for wet but pretty much u can ask anybody whose out there servin at any dope or crack spot n they can usually get u, or tell u where to get it at, or they kno somebody that will serve u. and there is maddddddd dope spots.I dont kno how big the area is n all that so maybe im just seein it wrong but 4-5 spots dont seem like alot. Anyways tho...Whoever mentioned Edison NJ, wat on earth gave u the idea that it was ghetto in edison??
