A little backgroud.
SWIM has a pretty normal/stable life. Got a college education, a steady job, got friends & family, SWIM is in good physical shape, and everything's going well. SWIM likes to have a couple of drinks, and SWIM has been smoking weed heavily between 17-20 or so, and after that casually (SWIM is in his late 20s now). SWIM has done mushrooms once (which was awesome), and SWIM tried coke, speed, and mdma a couple of times. Mostly, SWIM just likes to have a couple of beers, but SWIM knows what drugs are like.
A while back, SWIM visited the US and got high with some people. SWIM didn't know all of them, but they were friends of friends, so SWIM trusted them. SWIM took a hit from the bong, and it was like SWIM just inhaled shards of glass. SWIM never took a hit this harshly. At first SWIM thought it was just really strong weed, but then SWIM started to hallucinate unlike any way SWIM had before. SWIM didn't expect this at all. It was really intense. Time slowed down, colors changed, and SWIM's understanding of the world went right out of the window. Normal things suddenly confused SWIM.
After that, SWIM went over to some other friends with a buddy, and told them what SWIM was going through. They said SWIM probably smoked what they referred to as "angel dust" without knowing it. This scared SWIM, but SWIM forced myself to stay calm and just ride it out. SWIM was still going in and out of it four hours later, and SWIM wasn't having fun with it anymore. Even the strongest weed wears off after an hour or two.
Later that night, SWIM was lying in bed with weird heartbeats and cold sweats. SWIM thought he was going to lose his mind or get a heart attack. The entire day the next day, SWIM was still in a weird headspace. SWIM still was going in and out of this trip. It suddenly came, and then it suddenly was completely gone again. Again, no way this was just weed.
The real intensity went away for the most part only around 36 hours later.
And now, over two months later, SWIM still gets into that same uncomfortable headspace when something random triggers him to think about it. SWIM feels the same emotions and mental instability on some level. Even right now as SWIM is typing this, SWIM is feeling uncomfortable.
These are the questions
It's not like it's ruining SWIM's life or something, but SWIM really wishes he could go back in time and not have smoked whatever it was. It's pretty much the only real regret SWIM has in his life so far. It also completely ruined the idea of drugs for fun for SWIM.
Thanks.

These are the questions
- What the fuck did SWIM likely smoke?
- Will it have lasting effects forever?
- Should SWIM be worried and get medically checked out? Like, could SWIM have taken something that will ruin his lungs/liver/kidneys/whatever?
- What can SWIM do to get this out of my system?
