when was the tragic downfall?
immpossible to pinpoint
my hamartia -
only to writhe in disgust
at the virility of my vile soul
less than honorable intentions
wickedly corrupted morals
drive me to act out my vengeance
seeking retribution
for the wrongs that you committed
I abandon myself to
the hedonistic onslaught of your happiness
laughing as I actively bring about your demise
-and is it worth it?-
to deface the memory that has sustained me for so long
to rip the last shred of what I was from your heart
indulging in my self-righteous motives
why didn't I foresee the second coming of this indelible pain?
