"Darkness cannot be dissipated with more darkness.
Pat Sajak is admitting to hosting under the influence.

The longtime face of "Wheel of Fortune," said he has hosted the popular show while drunk.

"Yes," Sajak admitted with a laugh when to Dan Le Batard of "Dan Le Batard is Highly Questionable" asked if he ever hosted the show inebriated. "When I first started and was much younger and could tolerate those things, we had a different show then."

In "Wheel of Fortune's" early format, Sajak found himself with two-and-a-half-hour dinner breaks while they changed up the prizes. So he and his right-hand woman Vanna White would go out to Los Arcos, a nearby Mexican restaurant in Burbank, for some margaritas.

"Vanna and I would go across and have two or three or six and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet.

If it was anything besides alcohol no doubt they'd be trying to press charges!

For a second there slimvictor I thought you were shooting me down, then I re-read your post and no offence was taken! Silly me . :)

^ I definitely did not mean to shoot you down.
But, when I was responding and trying to say "you are very correct here, and I am glad you pointed it out", I realized that there were many other substances that you (and I) hadn't considered.
This is just part of the whole propaganda/brainwashing thing surrounding drugs.
Even those of us who are very aware and sensitive often forget just how stupid drug laws are, as they exclude alcohol, caffeine, etc. for social and economic reasons.
I think it is a very important exercise to point out such things often.
Even we - two intelligent and aware people (if I do say so myself ;) ), each with more than 3,000 posts here on BL - can easily forget.
But this is the kind of thing that needs to be part of the public awareness, in order to change the evil drug laws.
