Passed out from kratom

Two days ago I tried Kratom for the first time.
At 6 pm I chewed most of the powder in the first bag (Sumatra red vein premium). It said 5 g on the label, so maybe I ate 4 grams.
Didn't feel to much of it for the next hours, maybe a little, but not quite sure.
During dinner I drank some wine, but only like 0.1 liters (really).
At 9 pm I had some more, this time the rest of the powder, maybe 1 g and the whole 5 g of another bag, labelled only 'red vein premium crushed'. This time I made a tea, drank it slowly and chewed the leaves (not very delightful). When I was almost done, I felt it started to kick in. However, just 2 or 3 minutes later (or so it felt) I finished the cup and immediately felt the urge to lay down.
I then kinda passed out and awoke several hours later. I could barely walk and brought myself into bed. Hours later I woke again, still walking wasn't easy. On the next day I felt very hungover and couldn't eat for some hours.

I also had 100 mg pregabalin that day, some hours before starting with the kratom.

I have more Kratom left, but am not sure how to use it to get better results. I'm confused because the first dose barely kicked in, while the second one kicked in so hard. Any ideas?

THe active ingredients have a rather unique and fascinating chemistry; a small dose has a stimulating effect - in higher doses the main active ingredient 'crosses over' from adrenergic receptors to opoid receptors, causing a very different response.
Depending on the dosage, kratom can be either stimulating or sedating. I imagine with your first dose the dosage was such that only a small proportion of the main active ingredient stimulated opoid receptors; with the second dose a very large prorportion did.

Could be an interaction with the other drugs you were doing, if it's your first time with a drug you should never mix it with anything else.

^Yeah. Do you normally use pregabalin? Mixing kratom + pregabalin + alcohol (even though it was a very small amount, small amounts can make a difference when combined with drugs) is my guess as to what caused this.

*snip - sorry no source discussion*

Usually for opiate naive individuals, extreme sedation occurs causing the user to pass out.

Don't mix drugs next time
