Party Users and Home Users

Great post P2C, I pretty much agree with what you and Pibolar (what a name!) said. I think the tendency to use alone makes the person much more prone to dependence than the party user, because we are a lot more often alone than at parties and pretty much every evening before bed can become a time to "unwind", as is the case with me. I'm almost a complete lone user, including psychedelics (when I did them, and I did them in high doses), with the only exception possibly being alcohol - I will often drink at bars. However, as P2C, I will often take my medicine before heading out to a meeting or visiting someone, but in reasonable quantities so as not to be blatantly obvious; I absolutely hate to be a liability.

Thanks for the input. What you're saying makes sense, it seems the lone user is more likely to make using a daily habit. It turns into a routine, then possibly an addiction. When I'm using drugs socially (which is not often) it's usually just alcohol. I drink both socially and alone at home, not sure which I do more often these days. I too make sure to remain in control of myself when around other people. There have been times when I couldn't handle my shit around other people, those mornings were not fun. I make a point to not ever getting that way again.

I don't know if you're doing some kind of statistics, but my DOC is opioids in general, and downers more in general. I will drink like a fish if no opioids are present and as of lately, am not that afraid of benzos anymore. I don't take stims, except caffeine, at all.

I'm not doing any statistics, just posting for conversation. But, I do encourage people to state what their DoC is, just because it would help come to some sort of conclusion on what drugs might attract certain personality types and such.

For me, I use Kratom daily, and opiates whenever I come upon them. I do drink, as I stated earlier; not strictly for social reasons either :/ . But, unlike you, I will not do benzos. I used to do them occasionally when I was younger, and I blacked out every single time, no exceptions. Haha, they would probably turn into an uglier habit than alcohol for me. As far as stims go, very seldom do I use them. Like, probably just a few times a year. I haven't been on a proper amphetamine binge in years, which is good obviously, but... Those were fun times, haha. As for psychedelics, I tend to only use those a few times a year as well, and usually with 2-3 close friends.

The thread poses an interesting question, so of course keep it up man. Don't let the idiot, who needs to learn some communication skills and logic, put you down

WORD.

I am an idiot, I declare it so there is no doubt about it and so that people need not remind it. I'm also a chemist, a banker and a Michael Jackson fan.

P.S.: I play the flute.

I have been in both scenes and imo it depends on how often you use in either scene. My friend has rolled a few times at clubs with that group of people and thought a lot of those kids who club often and take way to much molly/bath salts are bigger junkie than the friends own at home drug habbits. My friend thinks a lot of people who use at home strictly are usually bored and more informed with websites like this while the clubbers just kinda get fucked up. But this friend is a bit dumb so thats just his two cents

I've been both, and used drugs at home or just by myself, and at parties, bars, and dance clubs with friends and random strangers who I met and partied with. They both have their advantages, and disadvantages.
