Ya, I know for a fact that it would be cool. But I don't want to have to cancel because of poor weather. So if the weather's cool, cool. If it's not, though, I'll settle for the warehouse!

That bein said, I'll still check in hotels or rec centers to see my options...

I was also thinking of hanging christmas lights. That way people will still be able to see. If I had the money, I'd invest in big colored spotlights... but I don't. I'm poor.

Speaker rentals are fairly inexpensive- I rent them a lot. You can avoid getting extremely loud and bothering others if you have good sound quality, it's pretty amazing.

Glowsticks will be pretty cheap, and look great if you're out somewhere that's fairly dark at night- rec center, or anything managed by a city/state is likely a bad idea. If you're going into the wilderness or a state park, rangers just want to make sure you're obeying park regulations that protect the environment and your neighbors.

Where I'd be going there ARE no park rangers. It's far up north. The closest police station is 30 minutes away. Ok, there MIGHT be park rangers, but we're only gonna' be about 20 - 30 people and apart from the loud music there won't be anything that could be seen as a lack of respect.

I have a pretty awesome sound system. It used to belong to my folks. It's an old machine from the early 90s but it's still better than any other sound system I've seen. The speakers could be better, but they're still top quality. When we partied at my cottage, the whole basement was shaking... so it's still loud enough.

True, though, that if I'm outside I could stand to have more of them. I'll check out the costs. Thanks again for all the advice. Keep 'em coming if you ever have anything else to add :D
 
Awww "way up north" means it's "way too far for me to come crash it". Boo.

I don't know what province you're in but if you're in an Alberta'esque province it's almost ALL private land (which is BULLSHIT, might I add). However most provinces are good, like BC. Almost all crown land. Be sure to check and make sure it's crown land.

If the property is owned by someone else and you don't have the property owner's permission to be on the property, then it's trespassing. Even if structures on the property may be in disrepair, it still is likely private property.
 
I'm from the East, sorry Penthos. South East, actually. But my cottage is north from where I live. Sorry for the confusion.

And yeah, woods are a good call. I just wonder how efficient the light show will be in the outdoors.

God, I wish I was payed to organise E parties... I'd kill!

Holy shit dude I would be eternally grateful!!! I would even offer to chip in and help with setting the party up :D

Imagine a 2-week cruise-vacation where every night is rave night.

... I can dream, can't I? :)
 
Meh! You can probably close the thread... unless you want to keep it open to know how things pan out...

Otherwise, I think I've been given more than enough advice.
