I am writing this hoping there is a chance of some recognition with other people having the same issue. My thought is a comparison on some opiates (oxycodone/morphine/hydro) and benzodiazepines (xanax, valium, klonopin).
People always talk of opiates being much more destructive of a drug as appose to any benzodiazpine. Personally I have IV'd heroin, snorted it, done oxy on many occasions. I like doing opiates occasionally because of the feeling of content and I can last 10x longer while having sex (busting a quick nut is not fun...seriously). I really only try to use it medicinally for that purpose. Does anybody know of any ED drugs that help you last longer? Anyways....
NOTE: When I IV'd heroin It was about a dozen times. Each time was on weekends with atleast 5-15 days in between doing the drug. I decided it was not for me and I can't continue to come close to rationalizing doing it. I have an approach to drugs where I refused to get addicted and I monitor my mind and body very closely. I do cocaine very occasionally with friends if it is offered (have smoked crack, again, not for me), and maybe 1-2x a month I will seek out oxycodone to have a great night of sex.
My point is I pay very close attention to drugs and effects a habit can have on my body. If I do an opiate, even 2 days in a row, I am totally unaffected (mentally and physically). Whenever I take any benzodiazepine, I notice I am much more on edge the next day. It feels much harder to get comfortable, almost hard to focus on anything. My mind is racing, and I will get particularly angry when driving or am in a rush. I have taken benzo's many times over the years any time I may have needed them (comedown, whatever). Now the past 2 years I have avoided them period in general because I feel the extra anxiety the next day is NOT worth it.
I talk with friends and they say oxy is ruining their life and none have ever really had that much of an issue dosing benzos. Even if I take a small/medium dose of xanax or valium after 6-12 months of not taking one, I experience those side effects the next day. Does anybody else have an explanation for this?
NOTE: I am also a red-headed. I know clinically pain killers have different effects and 20% more anesthesia generally is required for surgery. An electrical shock feels like nothing to me but putting my hand to an open flame (flame) hurts 10x as much more me as it does my friends It seems. I can deal with some shitty pain, but not from fire. Does having a different melanin content affect benzodiazpines in any way like it does opiates? Maybe someone in advanced discussion would have a good answer? Sorry for the jibber jabber, I can provide more accurate info it needed.
Nobody else I talk with seems to experience this issue. I feel almost positive it is genetic, can anybody elaborate?
Thanks in advance.
