Hey all,

I'm having a very bizzare experience at the moment and there's one super concerning part of it, just wanting any feedback, tips, advice etc..

If my condition does not improve within the next hour, I will be heading off to hospital!

So, tonight I decided to IV some new 'speed' from my dealer and friend of 10years (I'll post the pic of the gear) alone as I usually do it.

I organised myself, prepared the mix, did all that. No torniquet, I'd only used this vein twice before in the past two days. I was using the vein that runs along the kind of outside of the forearm, just above the elbow heading towards the shoulder in that main section, but close to the elbow joint..

Inserted, registered, plunged, no pain, no swelling, no excess blood, nothing. Everything was fine, another successful shot, savoured the moment, packed and cleaned up then went and jumped online.. Within about 20mins the effects I was having were nothing like speed. That's a different story, the main thing now is that my arm is partially numb! I have a constant hand tremor, it's colder than the other, it feels like pins and needles without the tingles, just that pressured warm feeling but from my wrist downwards its freezing! I've googled, browsed BL and asked all my drug mates..

Anyone have any advice? Even as I sit here it's starting to feel odd, more cold then less cold, then I can feel a strong pulse at every part i touch.. My heart rate has also increased dramatically and the double vision is quite bad..

I just don't feel generally well, something doesn't sit right which is pointing me to hospital..

Still, no swelling, pain nothing! Please, help!

That is very good to hear! When you said it was cold I was concerned. A good reminder of the risks of shooting up huh? You did the right thing by going to the hospital! Better than losing your arm, thats for sure.

Finally, someone who is actually responsible enough to go to the hospital.
Glad you went, and it's a good thing you're safe.

Going to the hospital need big balls if you're a IV user, respect Bro,
I did it just 1 time for out of veins abscesses, docs called me "the toxic" and they been very rude with me.
Not a pleasant situation.

Well done for going to the hospital(harm reduction is what it is all about) glad to hear you are ok though

Thanks everyone!

Oh yeah, I was SO fucking high when I went, I almost wasn't gonna go inside but I kinda knew I had to, the triage chick was pretty young and cool so she didn't judge too much, she said 'dont stress ive seen worse come through these doors haha' , the actual doc was rad, he was young and hot lol.. But the like head of emergency lady was really bitchy, she kept saying loudly 'patient in curtain 3 injected amphetamines and has had complications' was bleh but all is ok now.. Arm isn't sore or anything, I'm fully recovered but I have learnt a valuable lesson!

To all other IV users, be careful, shit can go haywire so don't be embarrassed or whatever about going, they are professionals at the end of the day..

Much love, Mav <3
