Partial Cease Fire in the War on Drugs?

Perhaps a step in the right direction?
Interesting. I'm not too excited yet.

The first rule change (removing the limit of 90mg morphine equivalent per day) is only equal to cancer patients. That's for people getting 150mg oxy per day and just allows them to get more.

The second is more hopeful. Did Dr. Ruan win that case? He was getting fucked by the feds.

I think the damage is already done, though. I doubt doctors are going to suddenly revert back to the previous openness of opioid scripts. The stigma has permanently shifted, especially after fent came out.

ODD -> DC

yeah thats a really solid point. everythings kinda buttfucked now. the stigma is so gnarly. i think youre right, regardless of changes in regulation i doubt any prescriber is chomping at the bit to start writing more opioid scripts.

Medicine for profit. A truely horrendus concept, in my view, as it goes against 'free' treatment at point of accessing healthcare (the NHS is not free, we pay for it with taxes). Low taxes and universal healthcare are mutually exclusive (basically, which do you want: more money, or fellow citizens treated with care and respect? I know where my sentiments lie.. )

Er, have I misunderstood. I have no problem with higher taxes, to fund the NHS. If the country is as rich as a western, industrialized states are, I feel not caring for all your citizen's health, is fucking disgusting.
Fuck rich people, it's the workers who create wealth. By all means, reward those who innovate and coordinate wealth production, but having so much wealth that even your kids couldn't spend it in a lifetime, and still wanting more, revolts me (hence my rants about the greedy tory twats fucking up the country I love).

Socialism IS NOT communism. Communism is a fatally flawed political system (or as Orwell commented in 'Animal Farm', "all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others". Utter bollocks to justify totalitarianism). Socialism rejects the "fuck you, I'm alright" attitude, in favour of the "no one left behind" approach, as a country advances. Basically, being a decent caring human being. Having to legislate for it just proves that the greedy cunts in society simply cannot just be ignored/forgotten about.

In the words of Wolfie Smith (UK sitcom character), "Power to the people" 😁

Sorry, sense of humour failure when it comes to some topics. Never lost that revolting student aspect of my character (and I mean revolting in every sense of the word! 😆).

And yeah, time to put on the Stranglers ('Something Better Change') - fuck the established status quo!! 😁
