Did anything gross come out when you did it?

Did you buy the herbs seperately? I was thinking of saving up for a cleansing kit from here: http://www.drnatura.com it comes with a parasite cleanse, the powder fiber cleanse and some laxative tea stuff that I would probably only use sparingly, as I dont like the idea of laxatives...

I dont know if I should get the herbs seperately or just buy a premade kit. My only worry about getting them seperately is correct dosing and stuff.

Oh yeah and my final question, did you have any side effects?

Sorry it took so long to answer you. Yes I bought the herbs separately, but next time I am going to buy the premade kit. No bad side effects at all, and no I did not see any parasites with my cleanse ;)

Yay I just purchased a parasite cleanse. I decided not to go for the whole kit because the rest is basically fiber and a laxative, both of which could be found at a local store for much cheaper than 70 freakin bucks. Ill post more when I actually do the cleanse if anything happens from it.

Good deal ;)

My cat just got a white worm from eating Friskie's wet tin-can meal. The ingredients in it include animal by-product. I'm not surprised if that includes ground-up intestines. I hate the animal industry. This cat is going vegetarian.

I am vegan as well. I have 4 cats and a dog. I tried feeding them a vegan diet but they did not go for that.

Friskies is icky food!! You should look into Iams or Science Diet for your cat, mine are all very healthy. 2 of my cats are 18 and they wear out our new kitten. LOL

A vegan diet will kill your cats. Cats cannot synthesize taurine internally (an important sulfur containing amino acid), and the only way to get it is from meats. They are precision-tuned carnivores from an evolutionary standpoint, and are not meant to be vegans.

Actually there are a few companies who sell a complete line of vegan cat food without any animal ingredients.
No extra suppliments are required & the food is enriched with all the vitamins and minerals required by cats and also includes essential Taurine.

My cats just did not like it...so we switched back to science diet :)

I'm sticking to strictly dry food. My cat loves it, so I see no problem.

Yeah, I tried Science diet. It's good and doesn't seem sketchy. BTW Iams, although a good nutritional company, tests on animals. :(

Yes, I know :(

They test food on animals? What is the animal testing for?

I have a kitty too and I feed him friskies. He used to get worms a lot when he had a flea infestation because he lived somewhere there was a dog. BUt now Ive taken care of his fleas and he doesnt get the worms anymore. I suppose it could come from the food but luckily it hasnt happened to him yet.

A friend of mine went to a healing center in Thailand where they fasted, occasionally had fruit juice, and after the fourth day or so started straining their stool to see all the worms that came out...

^Its so disgusting! Im scared! ! ! ! ! ! I for one can say if there is anything Im going to use the "just close your eyes and flush" approach..because I wouldnt wanna see that!

Im already taking it..I dunno..seems to be working and I havent had any effects...as long as it kills the parasites.

PS I know lots of people whove followed this program and they are all fine.

You will be fine on this program, I did it and I am ok ;)
Glad you are doing it!
Take care
Hugs n Purrs to you and your kitty!! =D

I'm not saying it doesn't work... or that it's harmful or anything, but just to present all sides of the argument, for this and other cleansing programs/herbs etc., I find this site an interesting read:

http://www.quackwatch.org/index.html

I had a quick look about intestinal parasites and predictably, they are quite sceptical that it's a problem in the US today and are particularly scathing about this particular program:

http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Cancer/clark.html

And here is quite a well written argument about intestinal cleansing and associated therapies (colonics etc.)

http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/gastro.html

I make up my own mind about these things. But I just thought it's good to look at a different view.

^But so many people who have done this program that Ive talked with claim to have passed worms. My friend from another board said she passed a 12 inch worm while on the clark program...I was skeptical too but I see no reason for her to lie about such a thing. Im taking the herbs along with a good GI cleanse and Im feeling really good. Havent seen anything yucky yet, thank GOD! :)

I guess I just figured there is so much debate on this topic Id like to see for myself.

garlic

You can also use garlic to see if you have the small white worms. If you eat large amounts of garlic for several days they will start to migrate... It happend to me... Very disgusting. But you find out.

Ive been doing the cleanse for 4 days now..nothing yucky has happened yet..Im feeling really good though. I think I just might be parasite free but just in case Ill keep taking the herbs.

Stoned_baby, I eat a lot of garlic anyways. How did you come to find out you had these white worms?
