paradoxical reaction - bad for a bad trip?

Whenever I take a benzo, especially low doses, I get a paradoxical reaction, and for some reason I fiend to get more fucked up (though I think that won't be present during a bad trip). I've only had one bad trip when I first tripped on anything and ate some shrooms....I've done shrooms and acid since then and only had trouble with the acid but only because I felt restricted being stuck in my friends room and not being able to go outside...but then we went outside and I was fine. Anyway, I have .5 mg's of xanax just to keep on hand in case of a bad trip, but I don't know if this will just make a bad trip worse or if i'll even feel it good enough to calm me down....I have a high tolerance /: 2 bars is low for me and I get a PR

.5 will probably at least dull the edge of your panic should a bad trip occur, better than nothing. However, you might be asking for anxiety/panic since 4mg does little for you, especially if you havent dosed any benzos in the recent past because your body is used to them (withdrawl). Also, the .5 will wear off wayyy sooner than the acid and probably the shrooms as well, so i'd actually advise you secure some more xanax or perhaps a klonopin or valium etc.
