THE RULES: Rules will be enforced at all times so please follow them! It is expected that you read these rules before you post. Warnings may be issued in some cases if a rule is blatantly ignored. Asking for drug sources will result in an automatic warning in most cases because that is a board-wide policy that you agreed to when you joined Bluelight.
1. Always Use the Search Engine First!!! - See if your topic has already been talked about. Three letter searches: ***If you are searching for a term such as LSD or 2C-B, you must search for LSD* or 2CB* (note the extra asterisk) to get some results.***
2. No Vendor Discussion - No mention of vendors. If someone asks, do NOT post "hints," just tell them to read the Forum Guidelines. If you are going to make a post about a drug or article of paraphernalia (LEGAL OR NOT-- including nitrous, crackers, morning glory seeds, etc.), leave out where you obtained it. Do not mention you can buy [fill in drug/paraphernalia name here] over the internet. Do not paste information from vendor's web sites asking for clarification. Where or how you got either of these is no one's business. Mentioning on-line vendors only attracts more attention to them, even if specific vendor names are not mentioned. This rule also applies to mentions of websites that act as a "vendor database," even if you have to already know a vendor's name to use it.
3. No Soliciting Drugs - This is board wide. We aren't here for you to do drug deals, and don't think you can talk in "code". We'll catch you.
4. No "What was I on?" or "What is in this pill" threads - While the internet represents one of human's most remarkable technological achievements, it can not detect what drugs you have eaten several days ago, nor can it detect what drug is present in some pill you may have. Therefore, we are not going to allow you to ask either question. Unfortunately, threads like that simply become is guessing games, and in the end the question still goes unanswered. These posts do not contribute any valuable discussion to the forum. However, Bluelight welcomes detailed, well-written reports of psychedelic experiences, even if they are on an unknown drug, in our Trip Reports forum. If you should choose to write a report on a drug of questionable identity, please follow the Trip Reports guidelines, and your report should be able to stand on its own, regardless of your goal of figuring out what drug you were on.
5. No "Quality Of" Posts For Any Drugs - No ketamine brands, no psychedelic research chemicals, no anything. Quality of these things are to not beg consistently the same. Even from some pharmaceutical brands of ketamine from cheap Asian or Mexican pharmaceutical companies, as they do not have the kind of quality control other nations do. Besides, this forum is for discussion on and of the specific drugs themselves, not the quality of what you may have. This includes pill reports, LSD blotter, research chemical purity (by vendor), et cetera.
6. If it is Closed, it is Closed - If a moderator closes a thread, you may not immediately go and open a new version of the same thread. If a thread is closed, it was for a reason and you do not have any authority to open another one at your discretion. Same for warnings; if you get one and don't understand why then please PM a moderator about it. Do not make a new post complaining about getting warned. If you have a question or problem with a moderator, make your post in the Announcements forum, email the moderator in question, or email a bluelight administrator. Do NOT post it in this forum.
7. Respect The Opinions of Others - Opinions are just that. When there is no factual information on a subject either way, feel free to argue your point, but do so in a respectful manner.
8. Be Factual - Don't make a factual claim unless you can back it up with references and scientific studies. We don't need more mythology surrounding drugs. If you heard it from somebody, I don't want to hear it, especially if that person "used a lot of drugs in the sixties."
9. No Price or Availability Threads - No threads having to do with the availability or prices of any drugs. This means no "Where is all the acid at?" threads. This has been discussed ad infinitum. Use the Fucking Search Engine.
10. No Self Incrimination - Word your posts so that it doesn't suggest your breaking the law at the moment, or planning to break the law in the immediate future. Especially when it comes to dealing/manufacturing illicit substances. And don't use code talk, like SWIM, because it is see-through. Just word your questions carefully.
11. No "Tell Me which Drug I Should Buy" Threads - The opinions of others are no substitute for your personal attention and research. Nobody knows what drug you will like most. The best way to reach your own conclusion is to search the Psychedelics and Trip Reports forums.
12. Do not tell us how hardcore you are. Do not tell us how your psychedelic dose one ups the doses other people have done. And please don't praise anyone else for being a 'hardcore psychonaut', one upping everyone, or whatever. If you've done a very high dose of a psychedelic and want to report it, we appreciate hearing about it, and your contribution is very important to us. But keep in mind it doesn't contribute anything to harm reduction when people start romanticizing doing very high doses. Using psychedelics is not a competitive sport, and it will only serve to promote dangerous behavior when looked at that way.
13. Moderator Discretion - there may be times when moderators close or edit your post when it doesn't break a specific guideline. Use common sense and this should be rare.
