Misc paracetamol opiate high

I totaly changed my life year ago,started living healthy,eating properly and lifting,gained 15kg so far...

strange things started happen last few months,if I use paracetamol when i have headache,I get very sweet rush of pure relaxation and intense euphory,I just lay on bed and every breath is like wave of joy lol I never done opiates but this sounds like what I read

I dont get why I didnt get it before in my life,I am only one?

makes me wanna take some paracatemol tomorrow, i'd probably get high off em as well. (haven't taken in years)

which drugs did you use to take, how often and how much?
 
This never happened to me nor have I ever heard of it besides people saying 10/500 lortabs provide a better high than 10/325 norcos but that's likely placebo. I have a bottle of prescription strength ibuprofen and it does have a "may cause drowsiness" warning on it, not sure why or if it translates at all to paracetamol.
 
lol I am just comming up on it right now... I just take deep breath and laugh... its like the air is so cool and fresh and it tingles my lungs and chest mmmmmmmmmmmm yes ahhhhhh :D

I dont take anything three years except weed,but I cut out weed last year too so I 100% sober.... not even coffee,alcohol or ciggarets

used to take psychedelics and mdma
 
paracetamol is a painkiller, and since mind/body are intimately connected,
it's not unlikely that physical relaxation accompanies mental relaxation in those who are sensitive to the drug.

you sound like me.

maybe those who've taken heavy doses of Opiates and Benzos for prolonged periods,
have kinda created a permanent (?) mental/physical tolerance drugs to weaker drugs or low doses of the stronger drugs.
 
I doubt it, my mom is an ultra lightweight, more like featherweight and she doesn't feel anything from paracetamol. She was prescribed codeine syrup once and the tiniest tsp had her asleep all day, loaded. The great majority of the population aren't opioid or benzo users and not once have I heard of anyone getting any recreation from otc painkillers. Consider yourself lucky DOB, I'm jealous...
 
Expectation effects - because you expect it to be euphoric, it is. The human mind is strange.
(The fact that it works to kill headaches probably helps too. You build a positive association between taking the drug and feeling good.)

If anything one would expect some sort of mild cannabinoid effects in people who could in theory be susceptible to it, because one of its metabolites is an endocannabinoid breakdown inhibitor.

Are you sure there's no Codeine in these pills? In Europe, you can buy painkillers with paracetamol with Codeine in over the counter.

These sound a bit like co-codamol or similar.

Basic paracetamol alone would not make you high.

Check the packet.

It (pure paracetamol) does say do not use continously for more than 10 days on the pack here (like all codeine things do). But I find it's the pain relief that gives the euphoria.
 
Sounds like placebo. The mind is a very powerful thing.

This is very unlikely to happen, so I don't want any morons out there taking Tylenol trying to get high.

No one is gonna be coming up on solely Paracetamol. Check the label of these pain pills. Paracetamol is formulated with all sorts of shit nowadays i.e. codeine. The last thing you need is to start enjoying these too much.

If you're having headaches often, you should see a Doctor.
 
It's got to be placebo, 100% for sure. There is no high toi be had from this drug and it's an highly dangerous one to mess around with as the overdose dose is not much greater than the therapeutic one. The mind can do amazing things and this high you are feeling is purely your minds doing, not the drug. If there was any abuse potential to paracetamol it wouldn't be one of the cheapest and easiest drugs to buy and we'd all be doing it.
 
Damn good point Jurgen about overdose levels as Paracetamol even when not formulated with codeine, is a highly toxic drug, especially to the liver and the daily limits and cumulative dangers warrant respect.
 
Sorry to say it, but I suspect that your paracetamol high is wholly placebo. Not that you shouldn't enjoy it! Just be careful. I know you've heard it a thousand times, but APAP can fuck your liver.
 
You cannot placebo yourself a new liver. Please don't take APAP recreationally.

It would be tragic if a 13 year old kid stumbled on this thread and thought that taking a half bottle of Tylenol will get them high.
