Hey everyone,

Just had a quick question regarding doing drug tests at my Pain Management's office. I am prescribed Vicodin 10/325, and I use them recreationally a few times a month.

My question is this: If I'm taking a urine test every time I visit my doctor, is there any way that he can tell the frequency that I've been using them, or at what dose? Or does a urine test just indicate whether or not the opiate is in my system? (Like simply a positive/negative kind of thing) I'm just a little curious...

Thanks!

Yes, there are ways of finding out whether or not you are using them as prescribed (pill counts, GC/MS tests) though it may not be accurate if they don't have a reference for you personally. ELISA strip tests you buy from the drugstore will be positive/negative.

However, we can't discuss drug tests here because the only thing it ends up being is discussion on beating the tests. I wish you the best of luck with your pain management.
