I think that was closed like a year ago man. It had gone beyond the usual thread limit. I personally made a second iteration of the thread before the first was closed, but the OP didn't want it and just deleted it. So I imagine I closed it due to the contentious nature of it and constant problems and explosions, and the person who made the thread not wanting to discuss it any longer.

I have the same complaints about this thread. Particularly the last few posts.

Maybe just close all related threads if people can't discuss them without posting pictures of children and calling them terrorists. I doubt BL wants to be associated with such disgusting rhetoric.

The post seems like satire to me, saying that Israelis tend to consider Palestinians potential terrorists, and tend to murder them, as they have.

I don't see how he's implying or promoting any kind of hate towards children.
 
They seem to have even less to say. My reply is best summed up by the first one by Cheshire Kat. Also how come no Arab country wants them?

They are pawns to unite the muslim world against the Jews. They will not let them move anywhere. No one wants them or really cares. They are pawns to be used as an excuse for finnishing what Hitler started and he wasn't the first.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Repentance, acceptance of Christ provided you under stand he was man and god( part or the eternal trinity) his birth to a vigin mother ( he has been around forever , he is a spitual being who lived and died as as a man, while still bring God) life, crucifiction and resurescution.( sinless life) and true followeres will want to lead a life as sinless as possible. But once you have repented, and asked The Lord Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior; your heart will be changed if you truly understand, repentent accecpt and truly ask for The Lord Jesus Christ to be your Savior.

When I heard about " Queers for Palestine" I ignored it because I thought it was just some stupid joke. Ah, no these gays; who would be shot dead and that would much more humane than what they might do to them. Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich vowed Tuesday to destroy the Gaza Strip “within a few months” as part of an expanded genocide plan, claiming Palestinians would leave for other countries.

Israel’s Channel 12 said Smotrich made the comments at a conference on settlement policy in the illegal Ofra settlement in the occupied West Bank.

“Within a few months ... Gaza will be totally destroyed,” he said. “The Gazan citizens will be concentrated in the south. They will be totally despairing, understanding that there is no hope and nothing to look for in Gaza, and will be looking for relocation to begin a new life in other places.”

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted Smotrich responding to a question about Gaza’s situation six months from now: “Hamas won’t exist as a functioning entity,” he said. ”The population of Gaza will be concentrated from the Morag Corridor southwards. The rest of the Strip will be empty.”

The Israeli Security Cabinet approved a plan Sunday to distribute aid in the blockaded enclave through private security contractors.

The plan, however, was rejected by the UN and dozens of international aid groups, saying it runs against humanitarian principles, is logistically unworkable and could put Palestinian civilians and staffers in harm’s way.

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly suggested a “take over” of Gaza and resettling its population to develop it into a tourist destination. His plan was rejected by the Arab world and many nations, who said it amounts to ethnic cleansing.

Israeli estimates suggest 59 captives remain in Gaza, with 24 believed alive. In contrast, more than 9,500 Palestinians remain imprisoned in Israel under harsh conditions, including reports of torture, starvation and medical neglect, according to Palestinian and Israeli rights organizations.

More than 52,600 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants in November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.

Not sure why she gets ragged on so much.

She's an activist that's trying to bring awareness to important matters. Unlike most people, she actually puts her money where her mouth is, and attempted to bring humanitarian aid to help millions of people not die from the incoming famine, with the threat of murder and incarceration looming. That's commendable. Most people just have really strong opinions and yell about it online, without ever becoming politically engaged or taking any actions one way or the other.

As a result of that action, she was kidnapped by a foreign government outside of their territory. That's kinda fucked up.

Why? She didn't commit a crime.

One might disagree with her regarding climate change or whatever political opinions, but I don't see how any of her actions deserve a jail sentence.
 
She's trying to bring aid and attention to people who are suffering under the oppression of an occupying army. She's using her noteriety to bring attention to the needs of women, children, innocent civilians whose lives are being squished by the state of israel.

These are the times that try men's souls.

You realize she's not a palestinian but actually an entitled white european who's already on her way back to Europe less than 48 hours after attempting to illegally enter a foreign territory that's currently under a military naval blockade with a few pallets of aid for millions of people while trying to raise awareness about a conflict that the entire world already is watching.

And then begs for people to pressure the Swedish government to arrange for her release? Um no anyone who enters an active warzone might have to deal with some consequences.

I suspect the only reason the boat wasn't sunk was because it was openly carrying an EU diplomat who by the way is still in detention.

And @someguyontheinternet I didn't say anything about the war or politics or legality/morality of Israel. Don't try and turn my comment about Greta into something you can try and push your personal political or social agenda on to other people.

Yet she openly proclaimed to the entire world exactly what her mission was, followed by her actions of sailing within 100 miles of the conflict zone clearly demonstrate that she intended to complete her mission.

I actually kind of wonder what would have happened had the Madleen succeeded. There's definitely potential that the activists could have gotten mobbed, hurt, or killed.

They brought a few pallets. They admit it was purely symbolic. A few pallets for millions of starving people... That's about as symbolic as Trump throwing paper towels to Puerto Ricans.

Specifically here is the cargo: unspecified amount of baby formula, 100 kg (220 lb) of flour, 250 kg (550 lb) of rice, diapers (nappies), medical kits, and crutches

1kg of rice can feed approx: 6-8, lets say 7 people. 250x7 = 1750 people
1kg of flour can make 2 large loaves of bread, lets say 5 people. 100x 5 = 500 people

2250 people out of 1,900,000 people means .1% of the population gets to eat for maybe 1 day. I agree it's better than nothing, but Israel confiscated the cargo and now it's still going to be distributed through the pre-established channels, probably slower than had it just been donated...

Murder? I'm not gonna say it's a zero chance, but I think your chances are pretty low when you're openly carrying an EU diplomat on a peace mission and live streaming everything on instagram.

All I'm saying is the entire thing was a publicity stunt. If she was REALLY trying to get aid into Palestine, she would have not advertised to the world about breaking a naval blockade.


Let me ask. What did she actually accomplish with this stunt?

Did she increase awareness? To who?
Did she illuminate previous unknown fucked up-ness of Israel? - I'm pretty sure the whole world knows that Israel putting people into ghettos and concentration camps while committing illegal land grabs is more than ironic and rings a strong parallel to Nazi Germany. Pretty sure the world knows this without Greta. I could be wrong.

I think she accomplished little aside from distracting the world for a day or 2.
