Pains after amphetamine binge?

It wasn't my best idea, but I had MDMA (once), speed (twice), alcohol (daily) and caffeine (once) over the course of last week, ending on Friday. I've done speed a few times before and never had a problem at all, but I think the research chemical variety of amphetamines was cut much stronger. This week I have been experiencing an intermittent ache/pain in or around my heart for a period of several days, and it hasn't left even though I've abstained from everything but healthy meals and water or fruit juice. This morning I had a stabbing pain just below my left breast 3-4 times over the course of ten minutes trying to shower (that was terrifying) and since coming back from the doctor this afternoon there's been an ache in my left arm/armpit and the side of my breast. I can't really describe the heart pain, but the arm pain is similar to after an injection (I did not inject any of my drugs btw). The doctor I saw today told me that my heart rate was only just above normal (70-80) and I should be fine. He said it could be heartburn from irritation of the gullet, combined with an altered heart rate from binging, but I am not sure. Admittedly I blamed it all on very heavy caffeine and alcohol consumption and being particularly lightweight for caffeine (which is true), but I think he realised I might have been taking other stimulants. This was before the arm pain really kicked in, because I'd thought it was from sleeping in a tense position.

I wouldn't ask for serious medical advice on a forum and I know where I should be going for that, but I wondered if anyone here has had a similar experience and what the outcome was. Anyone agree with the doctor that this will pass? How do I take my mind off this? I don't want to take pain suppressants for obvious reasons, but I don't want to think about it for another few days unless I'm literally having a stroke.

3 doses doesn't constitute a binge in my book, you're overreacting and you're fine. what rc was it?

Exotics once and Speed Freak. I just seem to be in an awful lot of discomfort for a week later :/
Thinking of taking half an aspirin. I'm obviously a lightweight!

You have already seen a Doctor who has said you're OK - if you're still worried get a second opinion, perhaps you can call into the outpatients of your local hospital (and tell them about your binge over the past week).

Your body is definitely trying to tell you something. I would keep off those particular drugs for a while and if you reintroduce them into your body do so one at a time, and keep a close eye on any heart or chest pains.

any idea what drugs these actually are?

I agree with this. It's not horribly worry-worthy, but you need to be careful next time so you can figure out exactly what's causing it so you can avoid / cut down on intake.

YES! This definitely happens to me after a meth binge. Actually - i pulled a muscle in my chest once after a 3 week long binge and it took MONTHS too heal. I still feel it now anytime I'm on meth, especially if it's multiple days in a row. I went to the Urgent Care and the then the ER a couple of days later - I had EKG's, Cat Scans for blood clots, tons of blood work done. I have a completely healthy heart, but the doctor said I might have just pulled something in the muscles around the heart. I say "just" but it felt nothing like "just". I was seriously concerned for my health and thought I might have caused a blood clot or heart attack. Turns out I have a completely healthy heart though (which at least is a good for my peace of mind). I'm really glad I went to all those doctors and MADE SURE that I didn't have anything seriously wrong with my heart - but it's still dumb of me to put t hat much pressure on it that it would cause that type of pain/injury. Wow - I'm certainly not glad that you are going through that, but I'm somehow comforted that I'm not alone in experiencing this. Now when I indulge in amphetamines, I feel my heart for a couple of days. I hope this goes away for you!
