Recovery Painless Opiate Withdrawal using 1 shot sublocade

The downside for me is I am already down to about 1-2mg a day and I dont think there is an "inject less" option and I don't wanna go backwards.

Sounds incredibly useful if one were to ever have to do a bid in a no med jail like we have. Thank God pot is legal here so I am pretty worry free but still good to know. (I'm sure I still got friends who could use the advice)

I took the Sublocade shot after being on suboxone for about 6 months. I was extremely motivated to be off suboxone. I absolutely hated being so sleepy all the time and of course the sexual side effects were little to be desired. Here’s how it went down:

Day 1: took 100mg Sublocade shot. Was a little bit sleepier than on suboxone, but pretty similar. Sexual side effects were slightly worse as there was never a time I had only a little bupe in me (I would time my suboxone dose at noon and have sex at 11). No cravings or anything though. Worked as intended

Day 30: almost to the minute, had crazy hot sweats withdrawals. Nothing like a suboxone withdrawal, but still uncomfortable. Took 2 kratom gummies an was fine

Day 31-60: was taking 2 kratom gummies to help my body adjust. Sleepiness and sexual side effects still present but improving

Day 60: woke up feeling incredibly sexually charged. Could almost feel the fact that the bupe still in my body had moved to the remnant stage of leaving my body. Felt amazing

Day 61-65: took nothing and felt great

Day 66: my brain and body were screaming at me that I wasn’t done with substances just yet. Took some kratom gummies and was fine. Discouraged that my mind and body weren’t ready to move on like I thought they were, but still 1,000 times better than suboxone

The past several months: still taking kratom for the sole purpose of withdrawal avoidance, but as I’m not using it to try and feel high, my daily life is much improved. I look forward to kicking the kratom soon as it costs a decent penny and is still a crutch, but no rush after dealing with suboxone/sublocade. Trying to accept the wins as they come. But understand that taking bupe fucks with your brain and body in ways you won’t expect.

I hope this story is helpful to you. My nuanced position on Sublocade is that if you’re already on suboxone and want to get off it, it’s a miracle. But I’m super upset that I ever got on bupe in the first place for being a pill popper and kratom user. I think that was killing a fly with a bazooka. But we are where we are, and I’d say I’m generally a fan.

I have been on subs for 2 months and really want off. I was hoping for pain relief and to actually get off 7 ohs which worked for pain but were crazy expensive and also had buit in withdrawal every few hours. I was also hoping the subs would lift my depression and anxiety. They did actually help a bit with that but also made me feel angry . I guess anger is one step up from crippling depression. It might have happened anyway because of life circumstances . My teeth also became ridiculously sensitive in only a couple months. Thanks for posting this ,i am thinking of doing the same .. Are the gummies you are using extracts ?

Yes, they’re extracts. Plenty of extract gummies out on the market. Here’s the thing though. Before getting on suboxone, I used to take about 10/12 gummies in a sitting to get a mini high replicating what I really wanted, oxys or hydros. I’d have bad cravings for them if I didn’t take them or be a little depressed if I didn’t take them. But no withdrawals. I’m my post-bupe life, I basically wake up every day in a minor kratom withdrawal. I keep a box of cereal in my nightstand so that the very first thing I do in the morning is pop a couple gummies and chase them with some cereal (as they’re disgusting).

Bupe really messed with my body. I never had PHYSICAL withdrawals from pills or kratom until being on bupe for 6 months. So if you’re not on bupe yet, be very careful. But if you want off bupe, the strength of withdrawal from kratom gummies vs bupe is maybe one tenth as bad. That’s a worthy trade-off.

Long story short, I’m planning on paying the piper and having a few bad days of withdrawals before the new year when I have some time off work. Just so hard with my small kids around, which is why I’ve stayed on the kratom to just keep status quo. I’m rambling. Yes. Kratom extract gummies in concert with Sublocade is the way to stop bupe in my experience.

Been seeing the commercials for Sublocade...seems like something I am definitely interested in...I've been using since !987 so it's definitely time to just stop. Too old to keep doing this shit... Lost many friends and I'm 57 right now so I really can't keep going....I'm soooooooo tired of the whole routine...

Congrats on even presenting yourself the option to find a way out.

They wouldn’t even start you on Sublocade until you’ve been on suboxone (film or pill) for a bit first. I’ve never done the hard stuff, and certainly have no idea what it would take to try and walk off 38 years of habit.

Personally, I’d explore using kratom extract for a short period of time and see if that can keep the withdrawals at bay. Getting on bupe will get its claws in you for sure.

I mean if you’ve been using for 38 years, what’s another week or two to test the theory and not get on something that has such deep hooks?

Now if you’re 100% resolute and you’ve tried everything else and the absolute most important thing in your life is being done with your demon THIS MOMENT, then bupe is likely a great option for you.

Good luck, and God bless, my friend. Whatever route you decide to take, it’s a bear to even go after this. So kudos to you!
