Pain management. Wanting to switch from Tramadol to a stronger opiate for HR

I'm not sourcing or scamming here. I simply want to approach my doctor about using a stronger opiate due to less side effects. Tramadol is better than nothing IMO, but in the long run, I don't feel it's all that healthy.
Where do I begin.

I have fibromyalgia, and a compressed disk in my back.
 
take it from me this is asking yer doc how to score. sorry but i bet a mod will close this. my advice be honest. like that will work
 
Well, thanks pillman. Mod's, I really didn't mean for this thread to come across that way. I read most of the pain management mega thread, but I didn't see enough discussion where it applied to me. I will simply be honest with doc, etc. If someone figures out where I'm coming from and has some pain management related input, that would be cool.
Again, not trying to break any rules.
 
We can't tell you what to say to your doctor but you can approach him with any concerns you have about the meds you on.
It's ultimately their decision whether or not to switch you to something else. Sorry I have to close this.
