I've been going to my pain management dr for a few months now, and been drug tested twice. a friend that works as an attorney for a workers comp company told me today he saw a case with a pain management drug test. From what he described, I've never seen a drug test so complex. It seemed to have every drug tested on it.
MY QUESTION/ CONCERN: tmrw I go into my pm dr and will most likely be tested. I have been taking more Mg of oxycodone daily then I am prescribed. Is there a way for them to tell I am taking more than what is prescribed to me thru that test? And if so, is there a way I can dilute the test for the extra Mg I've been taking; like adding a few mL of warm water in the cup??
I always thought the test was just to make sure ur not doing other drugs like coke meth weed ect... But every other month it seems like the pm dr has more strict guidelines and contracts to sign, and after my friend told me how complex the tests were, I remebered one of the things on the contract I signed said "random urine tests to monitor the levels of medication, taken properly and if abnormal possible dismissal.
Also I'm Rx'd gabapentin, and have never taken it. I'm guessing this isn't tested for since they have never said anything about it?
PLEASE HELP! Any advise/experiences would be appreciated.... Thanks
